How to draw complex geometry - full, step-by-step tutorial

Here's a step-by-step guide to creating a 12-fold rosette pattern. My previous tutorial had a part that was VERY fiddly and people had said they were having difficulty with it, so I've tried to make that stage as clear as possible in this version.
I learnt this from Eric Broug's wonderful book, 'Islamic Geometric Design' - it's a wealth of knowledge for anyone interested in geometry and is something I refer to very often when working in this form.

You have to name things with their real name ... and that's one of the thousands of Islamic patterns ... but the old methods are simpler ... a compass and a ruler 😊
