Leyburn Hill Top Farm Camping & Caravanning Club CS and meet up with friends from Wizard in the Wild

We visit Hill Top Farm Camping & Caravanning Club Certified Site in Leyburn, North Yorkshire. Leyburn is a lovely Yorkshire Dales market town in Wensleydale.
We met with our friends Graham and Ellie from Wizard in the Wild who also have a CV, they have the Elddis CV40 and we went for a bite to eat at The Bolton Arms, Leyburn and took a walk along the Leyburn Shawl where legend has it that Mary, Queen of Scots upon fleeing captivity in nearby Bolton Castle dropped her shawl en route to Leyburn.

@@LeisureBitdid I hear in the video you are off to Lickhill that is not that far from me it’s in a lovely area stourport on Severn I well reccommend bewdley and the Severn valley railway and a fish supper by the river Severn (a local tradition) a teddy Grays ice cream and if you get chance have a drive down to Witley Court or Hartlebury Common Roxy would love it!

Campbells supermarket is wonderful in Leyburn, we always used to go to the Chinese restaurant in the town when we stayed at Constable Burton Caravan Park, opposite the Wyville Arms. Great for cycling in and around Leyburn.

Hi David, good to see you out and about again! We're busy getting the van loaded with kit. On a separate note I know that you have an Avtex TV and soundbar. I've been very impressed with the performance of our Avtex TV thus far but would like to improve the sound quality by adding the matching soundbar. However, I have not been able to locate and details as to how the soundbar is fitted to the rear of the tv. I'm assuming brackets? Are these supplied? Thanks in advance. Sid and Nicola, Rugby

Hi Guys, thanks for the comment - the sound bar came with a bracket to attach it to the Avtex TV which replaces the stand (so all good if you have it on a bracket) depending on the TV model you can either use the HDMI ARC via a HDMI cable or on the connected TV you can use Bluetooth I believe - I have mine connected via HDMI - certainly increases the depth of sound and great also to use for playing music via Bluetooth. Lovely video, we saw Ellie and Graham the following day at Aysgarth Falls 🙂 Might just try that CL site when we go to Leyburn next, the walk is a lot shorter into Leyburn than from the CAMC site, so can get a few more beers In 🙂 Never get tired of Leyburn, it is such a fantastic place to wander around, did you go in the Wobbly dog shop? The woman there is brilliant and such a dog lover 🙂 The Sandpiper Inn we have never been in, always closed when we walk / stagger past 🙂 Take care all of you P S our van is amazing, so much better than the Transit, Debz feels so much better in it

It’s great isn’t it - definitely a shorter walk from that CL (and much cheaper too!) more beers as you say 🍻 Didn’t go in the wobbly dog will check it out next time though!
