How does this compare to the dulux trade quick dry gloss aside from being cheaper?

I find it good... I also find it easy to use more forgiving. Thanks

Massive respect for you guys and your standard of work, that was painful tho, just cut the edges in and Tammy roll it, no need for all the overbrushing its a grain effect door 🙈

@@PaintingandDecorating Whats the difference if its laid off ?
@PaintingandDecorating Жыл бұрын
@@lifeisforlivingfullstop9113 possible if you're fast enough this water based dries fast. If you roll then try to lay off like oil.. chances are you get some flashing with water based. No roller no tray... You need a brush anyway.

Some owatrol floetrol really helps to keep a wet edge.

@@PaintingandDecorating Thats the point i made in the first place, just roll it, unless you were a decorator or someone in the know most peope wouldnt be able to tell the difference on a cheap woodgrain effect door

Amazing it stayed wet long enough to be able to do that without it being a disaster. Must be a jewel of a water based gloss. 1 coat too!!!

Good stuff I've found... It has been undercoated first. Thanks

I remember when you swore by oil based and water based was a swear word😁 grest job as usual loved the cutting in round the hinges i have to have a damp cloth on standby as no patients 👍
@PaintingandDecorating Жыл бұрын
Thanks, yes oil is great but I do like this Leyland water based gloss. And a good painter always has a cloth on standby. 👍

The only good oil based paints left are made by palatine paints as they still make pre 2010 oil paints as there only a small firm there still allowed to make them post 2010 oil paints are useless in white they yellow after a couple of years some brands yellow in months in tints they take about 3 months to dry properly and use acrylic pigments that wash out in water and aren't as durable in general as pre 2010 oil paints. They should have given big paint firms more time make better water based trim paints before bringing the law in.
