The insert kits come with O-rings to fit your handlebars inner diameter. The 3 sizes fit 17.9-19.1mm/ 18.5-20mm/ 19.1 - 20.9mm. Please check the dimensions first! The tools also come in Small- 80mm, Medium- 102 mm, and Large- 129mm.

I saw this as an advertisement here on YT and now I’m super intrigued by these. Has anyone here used them on drop bars with success? They seem ingenious!

Our shorter Insert Kits, i.e. the Tubeless Insert Kit and the Small Tool Insert Kit will work with a wide selection of drop bars. To confirm fitment, you'll just need to make sure the handlebar bend starts no closer to the end of the bar than the total length of the tool. That said, we do recommend checking out the individual product pages for full specs and fitment information to make sure your bars are compatible before purchasing.

I was able to fit the Small Insert Kit and Tubeless Insert Kit into my OPEN U.P. drop bars. I'm Running a 42mm Zipp SL70 Ergo Carbon bar for reference. On my commuter bike, an 80s Peugeot, I was able to fit the Medium Tool Insert Kit into the original Peugeot bars.

Will this work on Specialized carbon Aerofly2 handlebars ?

@@TheDiegis you might want to measure the straight section of your bars and reference it with the measurements on the Insert Kit Product Pages to be certain. Each bar is so different it's hard to say for sure. I've had luck in all of my drop bars with the small tool and the insert tubeless kit.

Every bar is different, but as long as the ID of the bar is smooth and consistent and there is a straight portion at least 83mm long, the small Tool Insert Kit should fit.

What’s the difference between Wolf Tooth and this? WT is like double the price and I’m curious to know if it’s worth the investment to go that route instead? I have drop bars on a Salsa gravel racer and it looks like wolf can push more equipment into those.

As long as the Inner Diameter of the bar is smooth and consistent for the length of the Insert Kit, they should fit. Some Carbon Bars can be a little rough on the inside so you might need to check your specific bar to be sure.
