I only found your channel by accident -what a wonderful surprise. You are a perfect compliment to Louis Rossmann - easy listening analysis - excellent!

I am looking at a similar L70-A which has the same problem. I have followed your actions and it now works properly. Thanks.

Hey i have the same laptop and i accidentally reversed the polarity on it, it boots up and works fine on battery power but do you think the damaged components can be replaced ? And if the mosfet is dead, will bypassing it solve the issue ?
@Adamant_IT4 жыл бұрын
The reverse diode is the first thing to check, as it's the component that should have protected the motherboard from this. As for the mosfet, I'm not sure without looking. Technically you could bypass it, but that would be a super ghetto-fix that I would only do if the alternative is to throw out the laptop. It will compromise other protections in the laptop.

i only had problems with IQR mosfets. i had problem salvaging P channels and N channels at the right time so i stack a few motherboards like this just in case. :D Why you use Hot air for that inductor? Sony Vaio was the first to do this with the motherboard on the palmrest.

Funny , I noticed mobile CPUs are already "de-lided" so to speak for better heat transfer.
