Van Ginkel primarily plays as a central midfielder but has been lauded for his ability to play in a multitude of positions including defensive midfield and across the attacking midfield. From his early playing days at Vitesse, he has primarily played in an attacking role, though he has matured in his ability to play in a deeper defensive role. Van Ginkel is recognized as a solid, well-rounded player who has all the tools of a future superstar. As with several others, Mourinho was quick to point out his overall game: "He covers a fantastic area of the field defensively and after that he has this instinct where he wants to go into finishing areas, he wants to score goals. Bale wanted to play more centrally but Carlo wanted Bale to play on the wings. They had a fight, Bale snitched to Florentino through his agent. Since Bale was the MAIN MAN back then, florentino sacked Carlo.

Arvind came across as very knowledgeable and articulated the Bielsa impact well. The feeling amongst Leeds fans is the sleeping giant has woken up, or the lost son has returned home. Long term the pivotal moment will be the hiring of Bielsa’s successor (hopefully that is still 3+ yrs away), short term for next season we’d like to be in the Leicester, Arsenal, Spurs, Everton mix and have an outside shot of making Europa Conf league
