We need to start talking about richard hughes and the way he is handling the contracts. I don't think he is good enough to get contract renewals.

Hughes has only been in the job 4 months. The contract situations are down to the previous management of Klopp and Schmadke. From what I've heard, we've offered Trent an improved deal, but are apparently quite a significant amount away from his demands. Salahs agent wants a 5 year deal for his player, with a salary more in line with what Saudi are offering. VVD is all but agreed as he appears to be more realistic about his value and also because he actually wants to stay at the club.

It’s just fine imho, until Jan arrives and we don’t have at least 2/3 resigned. If that transpires … then we need to talk about Hughes. I predict at least 2/3 resigning with it VVD extremely likely, Mo likely ( due to fact he wants ; LIV + EPL records, CL titles, and fact no one but Saud can afford him), and TAA the most likely to leave. VVD will sign a 2+1 extension for slightly more $that is tied to appearances and performance. Mo will have to accept something similar in structure and incentive based to limit LIV risk. His only option if it’s all about length and $ will be Saud to get everything he wants in terms of length and salary. The Q is … what is his priority, legacy of $ ? TAA is the more difficult deal bc, as great as he is and as much of a difference he makes to standard at RB …. The fact of the matter is that he’s the one you can replace with the least O and D negative impact. RBs are simply not paid 300+ K a year.
