This actually looks like much closer to what Bungie wanted Halo 2 to look like but couldn't because the og Xbox couldn't do the lighting effects. Check out the 2003 trailer for the game, it was an 84mb trailer that I downloaded at 4kb/s on dialup, I watched it for hours lmao. Hi from Tasmania!

This is a hot take because a lot of the models and designs are different from what they originally are despite the upscale. They also discarded some of the lines in the original game. I don't think they intended for the brutes to look the way they did because they were consistent in Halo 2 and 3 but completely changed in reach and so on.

Love watching ppl play my favorite trilogy. I’d recommend subtitles so you can understand and remember everything easier since the story does get more complex

For CE, there were a few areas where the flashlight was meant to be used and the new graphics just brightened the maps making the flashlight irrelevant. I don’t remember much flashlight play in H2, no real loss in playing HD graphics in H2

they did such a good job with the cinematics, really pushed home the feel Bungie tried to give in the old jank ones. My new favorite pass time activity is just watching people experience halo for the first time, so fun

19:25 plasma weapons shred shields way more effectively, but bullets kill faster. At least a that was my findings playing the franchise

@@Grimmie_Playshey another tip is u always have two weapons you can swap too idk what the key bind is, but it’s like cod, swapping to your pistol is always faster than running around looking for a fire arm😭

19:20 yes, plasma weapons are more effective against energy shields and projectile weapons are more efficient against flesh. You figured that out correctly. 20:45 you might missed the explosion in the background. Outside of the station. Another station exploded because the covenant deployed a bomb there. Not sure if you missed it.

I found out that the reason why the turrets are so awkwardly placed in cyro station was because the devs originally wanted you to be able to pick them up and move them but they didn't have that feature until halo 3.😢

Also your reaction to the old graphics is valid haha. Halo 2's original graphics have held up the worst. I think Halo CE's old graphics look better because of their style. Also I don't think Halo 2's original graphics have proper shading.

two tips: plasma weapons damage shields of enemies faster than bullet weapons. Once shield is destroyed, use bullets to finish the job. plasma pistol can charge a shot (hold fire button). When fired, it destroys a shield in one hit. Very usefull against Elites. Dual wield a plama pistol and a smg, very good combination,
