Honestly, who gives a damn about RMT - This game is just beyond saving, it requires you to play 60 hours per week to have meaningful progression, it's more than an actual job. If people quit it's simply for the reason that since the very beginning of this game every progression system has been designed to screw you over and burn through your hard earned currency. These systems are designed to keep you poor and keep you struggling. No wonder at some point people realize how much irl stuff they can do with 60 hours per week and decide to leave for their own good. Since i quit LoA i started working out 3-4 times per week, reading more, hanging out with friends, playing other games and watching tv shows etc, all stuff i couldnt do before because i felt forced to keep grinding this stupid hamster wheel. I sincerely hope smilegate and their greed-driven game design crumble as soon as possible.

Running 6 thaeomines per week sounds like hell. But I was pleasantly surprised last night as I only had a modest number of re-starts at G2 HM and one shot G3 normal (which was a damn shocker with re-clears I have been in lately). At this point, smart casuals without iron clad integrity should just RMT and use that gold to pay for busses to get to Echnidna/Behemoth for difficulty reset (or just do g1-g2 on normal with occasional pug jails).

The last time I actually enjoyed the game was Akkan. Voldis is fun but once they started the massive vertical progression systems, I was done. I lasted through the 1st week of Thaemine but realized I just couldn't do it anymore mentally. Edit: Yeah, I quit. I had a 1640, 2 1620's. All 3 full 10's. All 3 40 set elixir. Just don't want to deal with the hypocrisy of the community anymore. I spend more time in PF than anywhere else. I play games for fun, not just sit on my dick in PF all day. Edit2: Btw, there are active players that go grind out diablo and path of exile seasons, sell items on those games on a site, trade for LoA gold. So even if they try to cut down on bot rmt, player to player sells for other games services is a major issue as well.

I don't think this is pre-loaon doom. You've hit another Brel HM 5-6 point in the game. Only worse. Less people already going into it, the community itself by game design is starting to rot itself away. You've got the difficulty getting ramped up to try to combat bussing, ironically, making bussing more relied on. And the cost of progression getting so high to combat all kinds of things, ironically making the reliance on RMT even more. it absolutely is a company completely out of touch with the entire gaming industry. Entirely because of greed. This whole game is predicated on mobile game gacha psychology. And the community, the farther you get into these curves of progression, is starting to wake up to it. The game is a job, not a game anymore. Period. Literally a waste of time. The only people left are folks with actual statics. The longer this goes on, the worse it gets for PF AND on top of that, as people start to leave statics, then those statics start to fall apart. This is literally the curve at the end of Tera. It'll level out. But so few people will remain, then you will have to start raiding with people you don't get along with or quit.

Brel HM 5-6 were optional raids that were not imperative to do to unlock progression. G3 HM Thaemine is a must if you want to benefit from lv7 Transcendence bonus. A significant percentage of the player base most likely never touched G5-6 and they were fine. They crafted their Brel gear slower than those who did G5-6, but they were done with it by the time the next raid came out. The speed at which Echidna comes out forces players to reclear G3 several times so they can reach 75 Transcendence at least. We do not get the luxury of taking it easy like Koreans did, by doing HHN. Even with the progression event, if you want to be in the 75-100 Transcendence range, you HAVE to clear G1-3 HM for several weeks.

I recently got 1620 and as Cautty said I can't get into a group to do Voldis HM so I can't even access the free elixirs because the dum-dums at Amazon put them behind gate clears so I could get gatekept out of them instead of putting them in a shop.

the thing is they're note even guaranteed to get 35 or 40 set, most aren't getting anywhere, that's just a fact, cause the RNG is rigged against you. spesific set bonus rolls are 0.5 chance of occurance.

There is no friendship to be found in this game, you "friends" will ditch you out of "statics" to accept whales who increase their chance of clearing content sooner and faster. All my friends are good i surround myself around actually skilled people and not who has the most gear

@@jamzbraz okay also in the case of this specific comment if ppl don’t know you yes you get gatekept but once again when you do get into a party or make your own if you perform well even with lack of gear that will ALWAYS stand out more performing well doesn’t have to mean outdoing the next guy with more stuff but doing above average doing the mechs and being useful in the raid and not dead weight always carry your own weight and be consistent. people only accept whales just by looking but if you make yourself known as a solid reliable player you will be picked over the whale

When I started to play alts I thought “ ok how bad can it be to play a couple of oreha’s well and a Argos a week right” These were relatively fast and little punishing gates with good rewards Now in comparison we have 18 sweaty highly demanding raids which take about 1h per raid if everything goes averagely smooth. I play two rosters of 6 characters and I don't care about gold limit. You on the other hand are just acting like a rat in a lab test, the game told you "you can collect gold on six characters" so you made six characters. You didn't even consider that maybe you can't afford to play that many and maybe it's not actually necessary. If it was necessary than why stop at six? Run 6 rosters of 6 characters, play 24/7, the more the better, right? The collective has no self awareness and no self control. Learn to spend your time on things you actually enjoy instead of trying to force something that isn't necessary.

@@helgenlane If you delete them, you also delete your main char's progression as well. All this BS that alts are optional in Lost Ark doesn't hold a candle when you actually see how expensive progression gets beyond 1600 item level. With 1 char you cannot maintain as a f2p player your vertical progression. You need several alts for extra gold and mats to funnel to your main. The game is designed to be played this way, it is not the player's fault. Bottom line is, if you do not play your only other option to maintain progression is to swipe. There is no alternative. These are the options the game gives you. Want to be a f2p or spend as little as possible? Play a roster of up to 6 and push your main. You don't want to play a roster of 6 and turn this game into a job? Swipe baby. You are absolutely delusional and it shows. Try out progressing this game with 1 single char and lets see how you handle the gold cost without swiping. How can you generate enough to do normal honing, Elixirs, Transcendence, Advance Honing soon and sprinkle in some extra gems here and there. You can't without alts or without $$$. "If it was necessary than why stop at six? Run 6 rosters of 6 characters, play 24/7, the more the better, right?" Ironically there are people who do this, but these are rice farmers. They generate gold on multiple rosters and then sell the gold to other players. Player-driven RMT. All these KR streamers buy their millions of gold from real players. There is also such a thing in NA/EU, albeit to a lesser extent. Veterans who quit sell al their shit and then they sell the gold to other players at G2G rates.

@@helgenlane Are you stupid. Even if you only play 1 or 2 characters, Thaemine and Ivory tower are always a hard reset if one person dies. People shouldn't be forced to grind mechanics and play perfectly just to go to the next level. Elixirs and transcendance are ridiculous gold sinks, and the latter isnt even unlockable for the casual audience. Raids take way too long in party finder and are too punishing if a single person messes up. Normal mode shouldn't require resets. Unless you have a static, you have to be way overgeared to even find a lobby which brings pressure to either nolife or swipe. You're defending a dying game. It has great combat, but smilegate only cares about the revenue and will milk it out until it dies.

This right here. Thaemine is the wet dream of hell mode players and hardcore raiders. The 1-3%. Which is why you have 150-160 1-4 HM clears and a handful of TFM clears. It is not a fun raid from the perspective of a casual or average Lost Ark player. The raid is a nightmare on pug outside of G1-2. As a result, many people do not even bother clearing it, and a lot of people that cleared it, went to do G3 NM after unlocking lv7. Reclear is also a big pain in the arse, as most reclear lobbies are not much different than prog lobbies.

I dont understand why everyone thinks behemoth came a month (or like cauttyh said in the video 6 weeks) after echidna xd IT WAS 2 MONTHS. Echidna came january 31. behemoth came on march 27. and its probably gonna be the same for us, since there is no behemoth in july and after that it would be a mid august patch which means its been 2 months. i believe after echidna there will be no more accelerated content cadence for the west, but yes we still need quite a lot more rewards to catch up and i hope this 2 month shop will be updated at some point with more rewards maybe with echidna release. much love mr. I also have 9 chars, but I only do dailies for 2 every day and 2 of them are just lopang alts. I also only have 1 char over 1620 and 2 alts parked at 1615. Currently pushing HM Thaemine and others to 1615.

But I cannot be bothered to sit in party finder for an extended period of time for any content Akkan or later because finding supports is awful or just general gatekeeping unless you super overgear the content. I made the right decision to stop taking this game seriously after the that BS Thaemine race even back then in KR. Still chilling around but super casual, since I realize this game was beyond the point of fixing by at that time . Oh boy i was right looking at the current state of West Lost Ark now. When you treat the casual like shit, then you will get a shit game back. Also tbh, I dont think anyone still playing and reach Thaemine is casual anymore. The true casual already quit since Clown / Brel time, raids are just too hard for them. What have left after Brel is just hardcore, more hardcore and super sweatlord hardcore . Looks like now only the type that has wallet, time, and can run 69 raid a week can play in a super stressful raid 😂

My static of 8 declined to a static of 3 by the time thaemine released. I got my Lightqueller title by the beginning of week 3, with only 2/10 being with my homies, the rest were pugs. I have almost 10k hours. I've spent probably $1000 in the shop, mostly on skins, pheons, BC. 23 man roster, 1 main at 1621 5 raid alts at 1611, most of the rest just lopangs. I spent probably 12-15 hours two weeks ago sitting in PF trying to get some Thaemine done, we'd spend an hour building a party, go in, one person dies, immediate vote to quit, disband, start over. this wednesday was the first wednesday in 2 years I didn't play LOA at all. I logged in and set my guild weeklies and then turned it off. IDK that i intend to go back. the raid is so fun but I think i may have just had my fill

That's definitely true to some degree. Both AGS and Chinas versions were able to make region-specific changes, but nothing major. There's a lot more that AGS should be doing better though: Bots, RMT, server disconnects, bad new player onboarding, The First vetting... AGS is killing their golden goose

I agree with everything, but one point. Akkan was not the 1st time, when you couldn't push full roster. Brel normal was. If you wanted to clear g6 week one, reaching 1520 was super hard. You needed to squeeze everything out your your alts. Reaching 1520 on time without swiping or a full roster of alts slaving away for your main was impossible.

I think 35 set is more than enough for thaemine reclear. Everything else I agree. I miss the time before thaemine where I had like 2 months of "casual farming", where my alts are 1600, my main is 1620, I'm ready for thaemine. I can bonus tap my weapon everyday and I have a lot of gold to work towards lv10s with. Now it feels like a rush again.

I play 6 shadow hunters, 5x Demonic alts (1540-1600), and they funnel everything to my main Perf Suppression (1632.5) . The funneling was working well before but even now it's just gotten very difficult. To make things worse the upcoming balance patch will now make PS a troll engraving, which is is the worst state than back when it was "perfect depression", at least back then, even with the entropy build it has a higher ceiling, despite all the shackles.

I honestly want to play loa, but can't. Even having my alts at 1600 i get gatekept. I'm tired of waiting in the lobby. Also, I'm tired of the progression systems. In the beginning it was easy to ignore due to there being so few. But now: stones, cards, accessories, level tiers, elixirs, now transcendence. It's just too much and too annoying. Combat is amazing, raids are amazing. But the progression is just garbage

It feels unrewarding I cannot keep up with people on same progress level, I am unlucky in elixirs and burn more and more gold there without any progress and honestly I am tired of this rat race. AGS/SG are just greedy and/or incompetent and I feel that this is same situation as year ago when Gold River had to step in and do some needed decisions. But since then it is all going down the hole and recently with those crazy progression systems and quick raid releases even more. I am really dissapointed and really tired of LA...

I think allow nm casual players to progress don’t lock stuff behind hm. Just slower pace in nm. Keep raids at 10 min max. These 15-20 min raids with wipes and progs in multiple characters is too much and too long. Keep hard punishing mechs for inferno; helps reduce gate keeping so the average player can clear. Game has lots of potential and is fun but not running 6 toons you’re farming with.

there is not much locked behind HM mate. Just thaemine hard is locking higher transcendence. reaching 35 elixir set is quite doable with epic elixirs, but it takes some times...what I really looking forward to is the elixir system rework - I really hope they make it good...

@@ShuffleAssi 35 set with purple elixirs is very difficult and rare. Not enough rolls or chances. For the most part 35 set is locked behind voldis hm. 9/7 are possible with time and patience but few spend the time doing that unless lucky. Brel used to be split for nm and hm rewards and they undid that. Luckily Akkan didn’t do that but then they back tracked to the same mind set for voldis and thaemine. Voldis is the same fight nm vs hm just more hp/damage unlike legion commanders.

I came back shortly before voldis released and all ive managed so far is to get 3 x 1610s cause of the events and catching up my sorceress to 1610 without an event, idk how people go to 1620 and 1630, I cant even manage to get a decent gold earning roster going at this point cause even 1580 on alts is just such a big upfront investment that I dont have it lying around.. didnt even interact with elixirs yet, running around on shitty purple ones and not planning to cut purples to try and get 35 or 40 set xD.. mind you I was ahead of the curve at brel normal mode, was 1555 or 1560 back when that released and had a maxed out brel weapon - but the game is just impossible to get back into. I have spent like 300€ on the dogshit gold conversion in ingame shop to even get this far, but I feel like a fucking clown doing so cause everyone just rmts, theres legalia whos streaming with negative gold and just laughs at AGS and SG, and then theres people like me who try to play this game legitimately - unlucky. xD

Its just sad af honestly. What does an Esther 8 guy with full lvl 10s need gold for lmao, and if they need it, they will just bypass the restrictions easily. AGS and SG just actually clueless about how to fix this situation and from what ive seen they wont even try. Greetings from someone who spent a reasonable 100€(random cs:go skins) in the ingame shop (2 arc passes, some skins and the beginner blue gem pack, still have some left) and played 20+ hours a week since launch. I am missing around 7 mil gold to meet the theamine hard requirements to get into a group. That is around 40 weeks of farming. I need a year to catch up to content that is out for a month now.

F2P you need to treat this game like it's your second job, swiping for gold from AGS/SG you better hope your first job is being a rich oil prince. They've never addressed this issue properly since launch, and to look at someone now and say "You decided to only pay $100 for a Lv10 Gem instead of $1000, how could you do this!" is just consumer blaming at this point. The bots are here because a market exists, and that market exists because you are being price gouged by a greedy Korean company that does not care about how satisfied you are with the product, they just want into your bank account. You owe them no higher moral obligation to get bent over and if you get banned move on to another game, which historically has not been happening to anyone who RMTs anyway.

When I got to akkan with this most recent event push I had no problem learning it. I'm going to learn voldis soon and I don't anticipate a problem there either. The content pacing is pretty comfortable for day 1 players who didn't take a break. I have 1630x2 1620x3 1610x2 with 5 million gold left and my main has a 25 weapon and all 10 gems. I don't buy gold, I don't spend money on the game, I don't bus, I don't flip the market. I see most people waste gold on alts a lot or skip chaos dungeons which are way too important. My current income is over 250k gold per week before rare drops so it's not hard to get 1-1.5 million gold to hone from IT hard to Thaemine. I wish RWT players would get permabanned, but even 2 years on it just doesn't happen. Why is Echidna releasing now a problem as well? It's the same ilvl as Thaemine.

@@Gworzor Except that those day 1 players are quitting left and right now because of raid fatigue. Thaemine as a raid is long, exhausting and more difficult than all the other raids combined. Add to that the lobby simulator, the player gatekeep and toxicity and I can understand why many people have had enough. Statics breaking left and right, puggers going insane with demands and toxicity. By what you have described you are most likely a wallet warrior who doesn't really care about the average raid experience of an average non-wallet warrior player, i.e. the vast majority of the remaining player base because you are stuck in a comfortable bubble where you do all the raids. You mention that you see a lot of people wasting gold on alts, but you yourself have 1630x2 chars, x3 1620 and x2 1610. None of the people that I know who have this type of roster has not swiped. So most likely you are lying. You probably did not buy gold from the currency exchange, but from G2G Ugandan traders. The support with which I do Thaemine has a roster similar to yours and that guy could not have achieved that without reaching every month the spending limit allowed by AGS/SG. Who do you think are fooling? 250k gold per week, when reaching 1610-1630 on 6 chars means millions of gold in honing alone, let alone Elixir, Transcendence, gems and other stuff. I've played with too many jesters like you who insist that they do not swipe, despite having giga rosters that only whales have. You are not fooling anybody. Or you are just trolling. Why is Echidna releasing now a problem? 1. HM is calibrated for Transcendence 75-100. At least the version that is now available in Korea. Only a very small minority of people in NA/EU will have this by the time of its release, even with the event they added, which is a dumb event because it takes 5 weeks to get all the dark fires if you do Thaemine on a single character, which is what most people do. 2. Even NM requires you to have Elixirs and most Thaemine NM players barely have 35 Elixir at best. Those that are not 1620 yet do not have even that. The timing is off because there is still a large proportion of the player base who have not finished their previous progression systems, which are measure gold sinks, and you add a new raid that adds another gold sink, albeit slightly cheaper, on top of the existing ones. But yeah, speaking facts to someone who does not play the same game as the vast majority of the player base is pointless.

@@Kalimdor199Menegroth Crazy that you think the current nerfed Echidna needs full transcendence especially in the state of being able to skip to level 7 chest and pants which is the majority of the power. Not like there will be very many people who are honing to 1630 that weren't there week 1 (who will easily make full transcendence). There is essentially no reward difference between hard and normal Echidna so it should come ASAP to help players hone with advanced honing. I cannot fathom how this is an issue. Players who are bad or behind can do normal mode and still work on advanced honing. 10-20 Echidna honing isn't even worth it at all besides the weapon and I won't be doing more than that. Echidna will let players enjoy G4 Thaemine sooner which is the best raid in Lost Ark. Also in regards to wasting gold on alts I mean unbound honing, buying elixirs, tapping quality, spending 300k+ on accessories etc, buying stones for a 9/7, tapping +23/+24 weapons etc as well as buying shard bags ever or buying mari card packs. Honing is by far the cheapest part of character progression. Elixirs are complete BS though unless you get really lucky. I don't think my account is that unusual. I've just never taken a break and only ever honed characters with bound materials. I'm not lying. You have no idea what a giga roster is until you've played in current hard mode Thaemine lobbies. Some of these people have 4-5 +25 weapons, 1645 ilvl with 9/7 etc. Is it unusual I don't break the rules or break out the wallet? I guess so. But that's what 2 years of farming and never wasting gold on temporary things like above +20 brel weapon gets you like it or not. How many people spent millions of gold on "the glow" before akkan honing. I didn't. Comfortable bubble sure, I rarely pug since over 2 years the game has been out I've made a large network of friends that still play and invite me to chain run raids. I wish you were 1630 so you could pug in week 1 Hard Thaemine lobbies because I've never met so many kind and good players. It was a great experience. I ended up getting top 5 in NAW on the first mode too. I wish you had the attitude and friends to enjoy the game the way I do because Lost Ark is a great game.
