Who else spends hours every night watching reaction vids? LOL. I practically never watch "regular TV" anymore. It's reaction vids EVERY night for me. And I love every minute of it. At least 2 hours every night. I'm sure it's more, on weekends. I do pause them and absorb the reaction a bit, sometimes. We can't re-live the first time we heard certain songs. But watching these reactors do it, is close. (It has to be!) And no wonder this channel has so many subscribers. This is prime stuff.

The reason this song is a ballad, but still powerful is because it is a power ballad, and the Scorpions were known as the kings of the power ballads. They weren’t the first to do them, but they developed an ultimate formula that worked. This led to most hard rock /metal acts doing at least one power ballad every album starting in the 1980’s.

I was watching in your Def Leppard reaction where you admired the band for sticking with Rick Allen after the accident. The same was true for Scorpions in 1982 the lead singer Klaus Meine developed nodes and polyps on his vocal chords rendering him unable to sing. He underwent surgery with the possibility of never singing again, the band stuck with him and in 1984 they released Love at First Sting with this amazing song on it.

They're such a special and gifted band. Their ballads are many and all amazing, but people mostly know wind of change and Still Loving You.. However, When the Smoke is Going Down, Always Somewhere, Holiday and Born to Touch your Feelings, are all hidden masterpieces..; those songs are good to the point that if you put'em on in the right situation, there's no woman in the world who can resist you, guaranteed..!

This was the very first song I heard in 1984 of Scorpions and I was floored. That voice, that tune, the lyrics.... When I met them in 2007 and became friends with them, I found what a great group of guys they were. Klaus is one precious human for being a famous rock star. FYI: Their 19th Studio album drops next year and they're starting back on tour in Vegas in March to make up for missing their Residency show last year due to the pandemic. This is the ONLY band that I know of that still is around from the 70s who have never stopped touring or dropping albums. And even though they are so much older now, they still love to get out there and mix it up on stage. When they were coming to their own in the 80s in America, they became one of the craziest and most energetic band LIVE. They put many to shame back then. Another FYI: They knew Freddie. Thanks for your Reaction of a band of guys who mean so very much to me. I'm glad you love Klaus' voice and Matthias' and Rudolf's guitars and yes Herman's drums. Oh one more thing: because of this song, France has claimed it as being the song that literally caused a baby boom in their country. smh lol

Love them! I actually met the lead singer Klaus Meine back in the 80s,saw their show with Bon Jovi(at this point were brand new on the scene) opening up for them.He has such a Powerful voice to be such a little guy(I am 5'8 and he was at least 2 inches shorter).It always reminded me of Ronnie James Dio,another small guy with Power :) Those small guys can really pack a punch vocally! They both are Awesome and Klaus is such a nice guy too :) Please explore more from both! Keep On Rockin'

These guys didn't hit in the US until the early 80s, but they actually formed in Germany in the mid-sixties. I did some digging into their story a few years back. They were virtually unknown outside Europe, mostly Germany, until the early 80s, but WITHIN the borders of Germany, these guys were GODS. They were like "Beatles"-level famous within their own country. Also...yeah, the singing...I'm not saying that Klaus Meine is the VERY BEST vocalist in the history of rock music (although he is, IMO, AMONG them)....but he's definitely one of the most UNDERRATED. Scorpions have enjoyed a great amount of success, but...if Klaus was given the full credit he deserves for his singing ability, he'd be mentioned in conversation right along with names like Rob Halford and Ronnie James Dio. The dude simply has a phenomenal voice. Got a suggestion for you, since you'll do rock ballads: The band was "Sheriff". The song is called "When I'm With You". The singer will blow your mind. There are several music reaction channels that I subscribe to and this was my first LFR Family video. I appreciate how you didn't just say how much you liked how the song sounded but you got specific about what was so good about it. The electric guitar use and dramatic vocals in a love song are the driving forces behind every 80s power ballad. This one is solid, but I'm realizing a lot of them were pretty cheesy, when listening to them now.
