This is a very personal song for me too. Been going through the same situation for 6 years now and it never gets easier. This song, and especially the acoustic version makes me tear up and sometimes cry. It's tough being a man and father and divorcing when your child is only three. Fucked up how money or less of it reveals the truth about your partner's "love" for you.

Man this song hits home for me my parents divorced when I was 1 year old and my dad used to play this in the truck all the time when I was with him every other weekend. Never understood the message until later in life now. It’s about separated parents and the lead singers POV and the chorus is the kids POV about it. At least that’s what I got from it. It kills me to hear it now knowing the pain my father felt giving all of his money for child support and Barely ever getting to see me while watching his family grow with somebody else. I love you pops and always will ❤️

I don't understand why people would say "just play the music"...the whole point of a REACTION is to hear the reactor's thoughts and opinions... Otherwise go to the official video instead.
@gaylemitchell5881
@gaylemitchell5881 3 жыл бұрын
Because we like sharing our great music with someone who wants to know it. Reacting doesn't mean every 10 seconds. It means listen to it, comment at the end, like movie critics do,. If you want a friend to hear a song you like, you want to share it would you turn it off and talk all through it, all ask your friend what they thought of it. You can react by saying , wow, I like this, smile thumbs up,Bob your head, over the music. I have to keep it turned down because of the up and down stopping and going. Yeah we've seen the video , we like reactors because we get enjoyment sharing it. We like the surprise of them liking it. We can see, it messes up the whole experience They , and you don't get that reacting is for the end , cuss we're jamming too it's just an extra benefit to turn someone on to it. Your friend would get pissed if you turned the music off. Either talk or turn the radio off

I'm right there with you brother. I've seen so many messed up things in this world, horrible things that nobody should ever have to see. And I realized that the only way to make this world a better place was to spread kindness and joy to as many as I can. It's a struggle for me because I have PTSD and don't like to be around a lot of people, especially crowds. But I'm working on that. I want this world to be a better place for my kids, a safe place for all children. My greatest wish is that nobody ever had to go to war again, that humanity could find a common love for each other. I pray that the day will come when murder and war were things of the past that nobody has to worry about anymore. That being said, I also know the darkest side of humanity that prevents us from reaching that day. Fear, greed, and envy will keep us from ever seeing that day. But it is nice to have hope.

YOU GO AHEAD VAN, and SAY whatever the “F” you WANT TO SAY! It’s YOUR channel and if somebody has a problem with you expressing your thoughts then this obviously isn’t the place they need to be.... THEY CAN LEAVE-NO ONE IS FORCING THEM TO STAY. If they wanna hear a certain song.... they can check it out THEMSELVES/ALONE, OR ELSEWHERE. Bu the way, I agree with your observation Van, we all bleed, feel, and think THE SAME. Our differences are strictly LEARNED/CULTURAL BEHAVIOR, and those are simply unique enhancements that exist for us all to share, learn, and ENJOY from/with each other. God Bless you, Van, and your family.💕 Thank you for putting your heart and soul into this channel experience and for GIVING us the “extra”content that makes it unique from other channels. That takes a lot of extra work and care and it shows thru. You’re brave to branch out of your comfort zone. I’m sooo happy for you that it has turned into a rewarding situation for you. Terrific role model for your kids.😊👍👏🏻👏🏻

First off, love this song. Hate the ex’s boyfriend. I’ve always told former boyfriends that I’m a package deal. If your not down with that, then your not for me. I never put my children in a situation like that. Even my daughters father, after we split we got along for her. She’s 28 now and her father and I still get along. I know not everyone can do that. This song makes me remember in the beginning my daughter and her ex boyfriend fighting all the time. I worried about my grandson. Now they all get along and my grandson is happy. This song use to make me cry. Family is a wonderful thing and you have to cherish it. Much love ❤️

No, I appreciate your thoughts. Keep going! This song I've always loves because its about a dad who's trying to protect his son from his mom's new abusive boyfriend. Can't tell you how many times I've seen people allow a new boyfriend or girlfriend discipline their kids when they have no business doing so. I was a single mom of 3 ... and I stayed single for ages and never let anyone stick their nose in my business where my kids were concerned and it's something I'm proud of to this day. I'm a grandmother now. It always sickened me to watch this happen. Thank you for your REACTION...its always welcomed 😊
