Its crazy that she seems legit surprised that the other two are there... and then they're able to *instantly* go into a well oiled fully rehearsed rendition. They have that song down cold.

My god, Seymour is APPALLING. STEALING FOCUS. Making every line a LINE. But, the puppeteer is phenomenal. The Voice Of The Plant is also great (they’re two different people). I was TVOTP myself once, regionally, and the puppeteer (the original Off-B’way puppeteer) and I spent HOURS on coordination. I had to lock in my vocals pretty quick and sing them exactly the same at every performance. He was incredibly sensitive, very musical, was very good at nuance and following riffs. He was also an amazing athlete with, for a tall, in shape guy, ginormous arms.

I have the original 1982 cast album. With the exception of Ellen Greene, it was very lackluster. I have the original 1983 West End cast album and the original 1986 film album. The Urchins between 1983 and 1986 were on point with their vocals and harmony, ( not to discredit Jennifer, Sheila, and Leilani) but Tichina was in the original West end production in 1983, and the brought back to do the film along with Michelle and Tisha in 1986. They had stronger stage voices and a stronger sound. I liked how the musical director made the songs less bubble gum bouncy and more cohesive. He smoothed out the rough edges and allowed all the young ladies to sing lead.

These ladies aren’t the original. But they started the Broadway version in 2003. Tisha Campbell, to China Arnold and Michelle weeks did the movie before these ladies in 1986 so yeah technically the movie cast is the original before these ladies.

@jpetersgoyanks
@jpetersgoyanks 3 жыл бұрын
@@MarcelinoSoliz “awful”? Nonsense! Though I shouldn’t be surprised, I’m sorry to say your grammar makes almost anything appear as nonsense. More to the point, I prefer the R&B influence in Some Fun Now which is more true to the characters and the time. You Never Know is more show tune-y than Some Fun and while that’s typical for a number that has to do what they both do I find Some Fun more in line with the characters. The same way Sondheim wanted the lyrics in West Side Story to be less flowery and more how young street kids would really talk but Bernstein wanted more prose so that’s what they did.

you have to remember the age difference. They were 14, 15 years old } their voice is going to sound Doo-wop TEEN. because ... they are teens They vocals fit the role. These are grown women; its hard to hit the notes after so many years. I dont think TIsha/Tichina and Michelle can duplicated the sound; because your voicebox ages. Madonna sounds nothing like her 1st songs:😁 Britney, Rihanna Taylor Swift, U2, Bon Jovi, Beyonce, Rolling Stones Jay Z because that era is gone with time. Mariah Carey cannot hit those notes😁😆😅 I wont to hear her sing Emotions in 2023

Keldor D'Antrell what is actually wrong with you?
@KeldorDAntrell
@KeldorDAntrell 7 жыл бұрын
There's nothing wrong with me. Of you, I'm not so sure. For a start, what happened to your sense of humour? Then, what's wrong with pointing out that someone is sexually attractive? Would she find it insulting? Did I use obscene language? Could I have? Next, why am I feeding you...?
@YhetyProductions
@YhetyProductions 7 жыл бұрын
Keldor D'Antrell this is a video of her singing. she doesn't want to be objectified and sexualized. it's not funny, it's sexist and gross. grow up
@KeldorDAntrell
@KeldorDAntrell 7 жыл бұрын
Pah. Doesn't want to be sexualised? I don't sexualise her. She already is sexualised - being as she's a person with a sex life (or are we going to assume she doesn't have that?). Then, how have I objectified her? Saying I'd like to see her in a bikini was a way of saying I find her attractive. I didn't say I wanted to use her as a sex object. I can't speak for you but I like to have relationships with women. Next, how do you know what she wants? She might be a nymphomaniac. She might happen to find me the best-looking man she's ever set eyes on. Last of all, if you think female entertainers don't want to look good when performing then you don't know women. She's gone to lengths to look good - and that has nothing to do with singing and everything to do with attracting male attention. She's wearing a tight-fitting dress that shows off her figure, make-up and jewellery, and does attractive dance moves e.g. 1:16.
