I own the 27” version of this, went here to remember how to disassemble it for a move! Have had this monitor for about 2 years now and I love it. Great at the price point and I’ve used it for split screen researching/writing, coding, games, and watching movies.. all have worked very nicely. It has a built in reader screen lighting that really has paid off when reading long PDFs. 10/10 recommend.

In the LG website, only "HDMI" is written under accessory section, along with Power Cord, CD and Manual. There is no "D-Sub" or "VGA", thus only HDMI cable should be provided in the box. Amazon and other 3rd party sites often include info from other models of the same product type (22MK430H includes both of ports and both of the cables in the box) or writes info mistakenly (this model uniquely has a D-Sub port but no D-Sub cable in the box).

I ordered one from B&H and those lines you are talking about are non-existent. That was the only thing stopping me from getting this monitor and I'm glad I asked people on Reddit who use this monitor if they had that problem instead of taking your uncertain word. Should've returned the monitor for another. The only thing I didn't like that was easily fixable was the slight blur on the text right out of the box. Went into the settings and turned SUPER RESOLUTION+(which was off) to low and now the text looks perfect(not blurry or pixelated, just perfect). For anyone wondering, that makes text sharper, and setting it above low makes the text look extra crispy(pixelated). And the slight blur on text didn't make anything unreadable. Just had a noticeable blur and I'm thankful there was a setting to fix it like it never existed. I'd definitely buy another and would recommend it to anyone looking for a sub $200 IPS monitor with Freesync. PS. Was on sale for $127.13 at Amazon for a bit(missed it because I was waiting for replies from owners of this monitor) but saw that it was on sale for that same price at B&H later after getting the replies.

I don't know what possible have gone wrong, as I see a few people reporting the same issue on various monitors (not only LG ones), but mine and the ones at the store I visited had no issues.

Is it good for gaming how response time and colors? or to buy aoc q3279vwfd8 need advice?
@iliass.59555 жыл бұрын
@@branko4138 AOC q3279vwfd8 is a 32" 1440p monitor which is quite different from a 24" 1080p monitor like LG 24MK600. These two monitors seems that are designed for different target groups. The LG one is a budget desktop monitor for basic resolution (1080p) gaming... not what a gaming enthusiast would look for! If your pc can handle 1440p gaming at 75fps+ then it would be a shame to go for a 1080p monitor! If you like big screens for gaming, then the 24" of the LG wouldn't be enough for you. There is a 27" version of this screen (27MK600) but keep in mind that 1080p may not look look that good at 27". Overall what this review says is true apart from the last part. I just want to point out that the issue the reviewer mentions is something I didn't experienced and may be a cause of either a defect or some other factor in the reviewer's computer.

I bought this monitor as it was the cheapest monitor available in my country, the 75hz availability is pretty cool and the 1ms response time is amazing. I felt a performance boost overall using it. The colors are pretty Ok and it's not bright at all so you'll need to take your time and adjust the gamma and brightness settings and also the colors to better match your taste without losing too much fidelity. The panel itself does have a pretty noticeable ghosting while moving stuff across the screen but not that noticeable while playing a game and it does have these "lines" in the blues that he mentioned in the video, somehow I got rid of them on lighter blues but something like "RGB 0,255,0" does show them. In my honest and non-professional opinion it's a great monitor for its price (even better if you get it in sale) if you don't bother about moving some sliders to make it better!

For working on a MacBook would you recommend the 24" or the 27" LG from Costco LG 27" Class FHD IPS Borderless Monitor 27MN60T

I had a bad experience with this monitor, as seen in the video with the pixilation seen in blues

@The Techne, I was thinking of buying this as a budget gaming monitor. But after seeing your review I am hesitating. Which monitor would you suggest as an alternative with the same specs and around the same price: 24 inch screen 75hz 1-5ms response 1080p IPS

How do you change the saturation? I’ve been trying and I can’t seem to get it

You ether bought a faulty unit, or you're using a magnifier to evaluate screen quality :) . Because I just got the 27' version and the screen ROCKS! I've literally used a magnifier to search for pixels on the deep ocean or the blue sky, and to be honest I can barely find some, but with naked eyes from 50cm-60cm it looks awesome! Anyways thnx for sharing 👍

there are a few others in the comments here that had the same issue. not sure if the size makes a diff or they corrected the issue. such a great monitor if the did fix it .

Yeh, I've red it, actually after I bought mine. Happy that I didn't before !

thank you for watching! I got rid of this monitor due to the pixelation issue I spoke about in the video, so as for settings I don't remember. sorry.

Dear techne whats the difference between this LG24MK600 vs LG24MP59G. Will subs to your channel ! The price range and specs i think is the same but why 2 different model? Please advice
@TheTechne5 жыл бұрын
The mp59g has 1ms mbr (motion blur reduction) thats not true 1ms now. Both are true 5ms GTG. Then obviously design, mk600 is borderless. mk600 has 2 HDMI and vga, mp59g has 1 HDMI, vga, and display port. mk600 is vest mountable, mp59g is not. so as far a performance they both are the same, don't focus on that 1ms mbr, just selling words. If it was me, I would go with the mk600m, newer and better looking design.

I was comparing this with BenQ EW2480. It has that technology which decreases the blue light. I am a writer-translator, I have to type a lot. Does LG has any adjustment to decrease blue light?

I use my monitor for photo editing and graphics/video work. Couldn’t stand how pixelated the screen was when setup as a second monitor to MacBook Pro 2015 w/ an HDMI. Like you I just couldn’t get beyond this issue. Sending back for probably a 1440.

@@TheTechne Oh man if I could swing that price tag for a single monitor I'd be all over it. I need two so I'm swimming in the shallow end of the price range. Acer V277U 27" WQHD 2560 X 1440 is looking like a potential option. Great vids by the way.
