Thank you for the video. I had the same problem and I solve it thanks to you. I put a stripe of nylon (not polyurthan) sponge (it is used for anti shoc package) the elasticity of nylon sponge is longer than polyurethan. This is a good method and it must be used before replacing the ribbon (it needs a special glue). Thank you again for the video.

Just wait until the customer sees the bill. I had the same problem, took it to the shop, they asked for a $65 deposit which will go towards the cost of repair . Said that they would call me with the cost for the repair. So I leave the TV, driving home they call and said that it will be $150 and it's ready for pickup. Less than 30 min and it's ready.

Hi, can we actually, remove the panel and glue it back? is it possible? as i have heard when panel is bad you can only try your luck to see if any trick works for you. otherwise you have to change it and there is no other way except you buy a new one..which is obviously very expensive..

Oh yes those thin film strips. Am still looking for a way of fixing those reliably on a Toshiba 26AV500A. Loath the idea of using an otherwise well made TV for spare parts just because of a dicky connection strip.

my tv is samsung UA55ES8000 actually TV was works fine before i de-assemble to fix vertical lines. so i was remove the back cover of tv then screw T-CON board and try to connect the T-CON Board left side socket to the with LCD panel right side Connection like vice versa to check the vertical lines get fix or not then tv turn power on and display goes to black ,no back-light, sound works. that was happen. please help me to find out which board need to be repair or replace?
