Just purchased the 77" C1, first OLED tv I will own, currently have a Vizio M series tv from circa 2014 when led 1080P was the big fuzz, has a whopping 36 active led zones you know?, it's been our family tv through two homes, several military deployments and the entirety of my youngest child lifespan but is now starting to push daisies, guess I got my moneys worth and I finally upgraded to something hopefully more "future proof", can't wait to plug this in and be amazed with the difference for years to come.

I just bought an LG OLEDC155PUB and I'd love to fine tune it to relieve the "black crush" in some content. I'd also like to get rid of the ridiculous Home screen ads and at least be able to customize it so my inputs come up at the top and the streaming stations (apps?) are secondary. Other than that it's looking almost as good as my 2008 Panasonic Plasma which I just replaced --- a lot sharper, of course.

Once you get used to the settings, the 'Vivid' mode becomes utterly unwatchable. I am using 'Bright Expert' with some minor tweaks. The picture on my 48" C1 is amazing. The sound? Well, it's not good, especially on the BBC whose sound quality is atrocious, despite using several set-up options. I will be investing in a good quality sound bar in the new year.

How much impact does having the “Motion Eye Care” setting turned on actually have on the quality of the image on screen? I have found myself getting headaches since buying the TV after following your settings and I’m wondering if having this setting turned off has anything to do with it, but i’m worried to turn it on incase it has a big negative impact on the image.
@paulcox244711 ай бұрын
It's the lack of motion smoothing. You need some dejudder. Try putting on on custom and then choose 3-5 depending on taste. You can go smoother, but just going to 3 gets rid of a lot of the double vision/shaking issues. For reference cinematic is 2. Natural is 6 and smooth is at 10.

In hdr mode, at 100 oled brightness and contrast, isnt it too harsh in windows and in games? I see everyone recommend to use 100-100, but in hdr games, the UI, the subtitles, and other static menu parts are just too bright for me. Like in elden ring, white item descriptions are like spotlights, too harsh. What i find more manageable is 80 oled brightness and 80 contrast, that way u see nice peak highlights too, like sunlight between trees etc. but the menu and subtitle elements will be not that harsh, but softer.

I had to go into the video settings of their Chromecast and turn on a feature that then enabled me to be able to have full control from the TV's point of view. I am at my friends who has the 55inch version, and he has apple tv 4k... and I am now running into the same issues. Filmmaker mode is not a picture option and I have been trying to change the settings inside apple tv but I am not having any luck. Any suggestions?

I did all these settings but am worried , on all sdr content it is soo dark , and on KZbin I clicked on some 4K content and it looks faded and nothing like it did out the box when it was first played , unsure what to do now ? As it’s great for HD films as the grain and noise has gone but it’s soo dark

Should I buy a new HDMI 2.1 cable for my tv and virgin media. I have a HDMI cable but I’m not sure if it’s 2.1

So maybe you can offer a suggestion. After matching your settings and even following others recommendations, my TV still goes way to dark on the dark scenes. I've turned off any energy saving feature and other auto sensors but the screen won't brighten again until either a lighter scene or if I bring up the settings menu then the tv notices it better brighten up, at least till the next dark scene.

Did you manage to fix this?
@MacShad0w Жыл бұрын
@@fcz Yep. Bought the service remote and disabled the feature. Can only be done with service remote. May void your tv warranty but solved the problem.

Thank you for the settings. You’re the one who best went through them for me. This tv looks amazing. Just got it delivered this morning. Getting used to it since all my other sets are Samsung.

Can you help me understand why an aspect ratio of "16:9" is preferred over "Original"?
@M8NTIS3 жыл бұрын
It shouldn't be, it must be an oversight, it should be on Original, or content may be stretched out to fill.

the rtings website suggests different settings to those in this video so Im now confused
@avforums2 жыл бұрын
Not sure what they suggest, but if you want it as close to calibrated as possible, so you can see content as it is intended to be seen, then Filmmaker Mode is the one to choose, as we cover in this video.
