im not impressed, how is that over 1000? even the wood on the boxes looks like the thinnest cheapest pulp wood you can get. whats even the RMS on thoes subs and the rms on the mids/highs? also should use some songs with hard low bass, see what that 20hz do.
@Flashbang_Photo8 жыл бұрын
At the point that the whole set of amp + rest of electronics have a max consumption of 200w (see it at the back) you can see that are 1600w PMPO. Or False, as you want to call it.
@RockeyDAproductions8 жыл бұрын
MSDOSFAN oh, its like that fake blown up "Peak" number alot of car audio has right?
@Flashbang_Photo8 жыл бұрын
Well, yes and not, there are three usual power marks: RMS (that we say 'real') and it means the sustained power that can be passed through a speaker for 'infinite' time. Later, we have 'Peak power', that is a real mark about the maximum power that a speaker can support for, let's say, milliseconds. Usually is the double of RMS, and we take this when there's no RMS mark (usual at chinese/unbranded speakers). And the worst, the PMPO, that is a totally unrealistic power mark, because is measured at the blow point of the coil. In this channel there's a video of a Phillips system that marks 40800w of PMPO (yes, 40800) so this measurement is totally unrealistic.
@RockeyDAproductions8 жыл бұрын
MSDOSFAN i think its funny that my sundown amp is rated at 1500w on 14.4v but when ever some one dynos it it always gets over 1600w.. that amp is 16v stable and i have always wondered how it would bench on 16v. main reson i bough a sundown sub and amp (other than low FS and look of amp) is the fact there is no peak value on there products and sundown sandbags there RMS. my current sub is rated at 1250wrms and i have heard people say that sub takes 2000w like a champ.
@Flashbang_Photo8 жыл бұрын
Good amps do that. I have a 600w Audiobank connected to my computer and obviously i didn't dyno it, but the sound quality is 1000x time better than the quality of the output of my Kenwood head unit. But to set the difference, your 1500w rated amp can have a maximum output of 1600w. But a 200w rated amb can have a 3200w RMS (6400w peak?) output? Very doubtful.

Ah, back in the day when max wattage ratings were all you cared about. 1000w peak!! 75w rms. :P Brings me back decades ago to my first rack system. No boombox, no shelf system. A rack. Real wood and glass on wheels. 100w was all you needed of clean sound. It didn't matter the gear because at 16 who cared? Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, whatever. Then my best friend's mother told me she had a surprise for him for his birthday. She said his Grandmother was buying him a "Top shelf" brand full stereo. Back in the 80's it was what you got into. I was excited for him, expecting something impressive with components. Turned out to be a 50w max Soundesign POS. It had like 15w RMS. It had a tuner, dual cassette and turntable. It was a $49 Kmart special. I felt so bad for him because he envied mine, and mine wasn't much better, a 100w RMS LXI rack system for like $950 (80's$). It was a Cadillac compared to his. He trashed that stereo of his in like 3 months. This one above doesn't appear to go the distance either, especially if that distortion is continued at that volume for any length of time. I'm actually shocked they want $1200 for it.
@Prometheus5742 жыл бұрын
The distortion is due to the camera microphone overloaded. If you listen to it in person, there is no distortions at all. I have listen to it while in Buenos Aires.

I once measured the real wattage of this system an it wasn’t above 60w/channel, sometimes 200w peak The thing is, they are quite efficient 15 inch subwoofers and they move a lot for a “PA” speaker The price is too high, but they sound 7/10 compared to the lower hi-fi class(hifi 5/10, hi-end 2.5/10) They are pretty good for a party or loud music for noobs with money but you would better get some 15 inch cerwin vega’s for the same money if you want loudness and some quality!

***** The thing with studio speakers is that they look fuck ugly and they're just too boring to listen to for my liking. Their purpose is to be as flat and neutral as possible for audio production and mixing purposes, which is great, but they take the excitement out of music. The peaks and troughs in Hifi speakers gives them character. It can give the ability to highlight or extend certain sounds or instruments in songs which is exciting to listen to. Not only that but it makes for a great home cinema experience, something I think that studio speakers wouldn't be very good at. Sorry fellas but it's Hifi speakers for me.

Harpal Chauhan Glad you've woken up and got a system that's much better and classier too! But don't be duped by the marketing spiel that these Hifi manufacturer's put out. No need to spend a lot on HDMI cables since they're digital, not analogue. The only thing being sent down an HDMI cable is binary data and no amount of pure silver strands or whatever else can change or enhance that. As long as you get a "High Speed" HDMI cable, you'll get the same quality spending £2 on a cable, as you would spending £1000+ on a cable. As for speaker cable, that's highly debated but I've still not seen a single bit of solid scientific data to suggest high end speaker cable makes a difference to audio quality. The only thing you should be concerned about is cable thickness and length of the cable. I originally bought Van Damme Tour Grade bi-wire cable has a core thickness of 2.5mm until I recently bought a reel of really cheap non-OFC 10gauge cable (nearly 6mm in thickness). One speaker is running the Van Damme cable and one speaker is running the cheap cable and there's absolutely no difference between them whatsoever. Never tried the acoustic plates for speaker stands but I can't imagine it would make too much of a difference. I can imagine there's some, but probably only to low frequencies and high volumes. Just do your research and don't pay more than you need to for audio quality. There's a lot of misinformation out there.
@harpalchauhan4287 жыл бұрын
thx only reason is I can hear difference when I've changed the wires qed I've used for over 15 yrs now tgey give your there absolute best cable in 4 ranges budget, performance, reference, signature if you wanna be bit xtra like me lool but if you look at there cables they won't upgrade cable every year to make money there last hdmi range was changed last year only because of 4k. they brought out new range 5 or more years after there first hdmi range and as for speaker cable the genesis silver spiral has stayed the same for over 15yrs as the flagship cable+ life time guarantee that I've never had to use but the cables are so strong that if you pull on there cables you will end up breaking the hdmi on you tv like I did twice. lol

These low end makers usually hype up the wattage ratings. What a 5000 watt label means is that if this system were powered by 50 zillion volts instead of 120/240, it will put out 5000 watts RMS for 0.00001 seconds before it goes up in flames. You won't see this fine print anywhere. I used to own a Sony Home theater-in-a-box system that worked just fine, one day I tried the receiver with regular floor Paradigm Signature S8 The receiver didnt even put out enough power to move the woofers. All I could hear was the cackling of the tweeters/midrange. The receiver was rated at 100w/ch@ 8 Ohms
@justinbeamon66247 жыл бұрын
Yah most all of the consumer receivers like that are only tested with 2 channels at 1khz, and alot of them only have a total output of around 200 watts. They don't really put out a true 100 watts for every channel unless you get real amps like Emotiva or better. I would love it if LG had the same quality audio products as their TV's.

No its not. 2x 160€ KRK R6 + 1x 400€ KRK 10" SUB will just destroy this LG Shit - with like 300 - 400 Watts max. bad wood cannot sound good and this LG shit is glued together.
@RennieAsh6 жыл бұрын
Efficiency can give better distortion performance. Tbh the system in this video may handle more power, and go louder than said krk combo. The krk will be more accurate of course.
@RennieAsh6 жыл бұрын
yDaN there's more to it than just Watts. The 2300 comes from peak power for a split second at some frequency of 1 kHz at 10% thd. Efficiency of the speaker matters too. You could get 95db for one watt, or you can pump 100watts into a low 80s dB per watt speaker and have 95db. Most companies use peak power or music power, because it gives a bigger number.

just by looking at the cables, after 10 minutes of intense music they burn 🔥🔥🔥🔥😅🤣
@sorenludwig39783 жыл бұрын
The cables are not the problem, depends were you come from, a ordinary power cable has 240 volts, mostly backuped für 16 ampere, so they handle at least 3680 watt. So I’m pretty shure, the cables aren’t die bottleneck.

psss, i don't like this set as it's way overpriced and sounds like shit but i tested one with a constant bass tone in media markt, i had a kill-a-watt meter with me and plugged it in through that, it drawn about 2100w from the wall on max volume, the 200w is average power consumption on normal volumes, same as for example the HT set i had from lg, said 95 on the back but truly loaded up it drawn about 700w from the wall (constant load on the satellites and bass channel) i would still never buy anything like this, but saying that based on an average power consumption rating is just wrong also this set is even dangerous to use, if you loaded it with a constant bass tone like something from bass mekanik and put it too hard you'll literally melt the wires, but it's still doing it's numbers

When you look a the" fishing pole line" speaker wire going to the subs its easy to tell that there isn't much power going to them. If the audio systems claims 1,600 watts or 1,600 watts/×2 and you see speaker wire thin as a lead pencil fill - that gauge of wire (probably 18 gague) can not carry that much wattage to the speakers. Its that simple.
@BH4x0r5 ай бұрын
8 Ohm woofer, 725W x2 rated subs 10A through 18 gauge is easily possible especially in short distance wires, with the way music is dynamic i doubt they'd even get hot

@TechnikToni-Overtribe6 жыл бұрын
@Tekboy 808 Nope you will never get more out than you put in quess why all say it takes power to make power go and lear how an amplifier really works it just changes the voltage and current with the music signal the wattage input will always be the same its just gonne get seperated for the led control unit amplifier and also losses but in the end what goes in is the same as what comes out from all different loads(as said leds control unit amp and losses) combined
@AlexIstEinGott6 жыл бұрын
why do people think an amplifier could create energy out of nothing? if im correct, an amp amplifies the input music signal with its given input power. at an efficiency of 80% that would be 200W * 0.6 = 160W output to the speakers. probably even less.
@TechnikToni-Overtribe6 жыл бұрын
@AlexIstEinGott6 жыл бұрын
