Is the port next to the drain hose supposed to be open to the atmosphere? The rectangular to the left or is there a cap on it?

Thank you! I had no idea how to remove the drain hose! Ours developed a leak. By the looks of it, the water tank looks exactly the same as our LG LDTH7972S. The only difference is the hose retaining clip looks different. But the hose looks to be the same. I just got done with ‘repairing’ the drain hose on our LG LDTH7972S. I was able to repair by cutting the LG drain hose and coupling it with a generic drain hose from Home Depot.

When you took out the plastic did you have issues with it leaking once drain hose was replaced ? For some reason the water is coming out where the air suppose to come out or in

Was the drain hose leaking where it connects to the plastic reservoir piece? (that plastic bottle type thing is called the air guide assembly - mine is leaking at that point). Thanks for the video.
