Dude you saved my ass. I was just about to pry off the internal vent/screen. The counterclockwise click was the save. Thanks man. Saved Xmas 2023. Lol

I'm with G.G. You got me almost to what I wanted to see. It would have been really great if you pulled the tank away to show why/if one need the specific replacement hose or if a big box replacement hose would work.

I have an LG LDFN454HT dishwasher that looks very similar to this unit. I had a similar leak where the long drain hose (both hoses are technically used for draining) connected to the plastic tank. I simply replaced the o-ring with a standard nitrile o-ring that I bought at my local Ace/TrueValue/etc. My unit took metric 21mm id x 26mm od x 3 mil thick o-rings. I replaced them on both hoses, as they were a much better fit than the factory o-rings IMHO. I also used some 100% plumbers silicone grease on the rings before I installed them. It helps to keep a great seal and makes installation much easier.

I also not a bad idea to buy a $10 water detector off of AMZN and slide that under the unit since there is a raised space under the dishwasher for the fill hose, and it lets you get all the way to the back of the unit.

LG's drain hoses are known to leak wherever they have even a mild bend. They are plastic and don't hold up over time.

Just like the other video you didnt show how you removed it.

Nice video but you should have showed the last part of the install. I have a similar issue but leaking differently. I think a rat chewed into mine. I have been to 3 places including Lowes and none could tell me how to disconnect the old line nor had a replacement.

Bizarre experience with GRP. I've had good luck with them before, but they don't recognize the part# you gave and the picture they show is the generic hose which will not insert into the socket for the model LDF 5545.

I see your video is a year old so it may not matter, but the part # is actually AEM74333101. You left out a 3. Even so, the generic replacement hose (with a clamp at each end) picture comes up and the telephone customer service couldn't tell me if it was just the wrong picture.

Nice BUT that's showing how you REPLACED it not repaired .When you repair a puncture you patch it...don't you?
