Did they patch the part where the KZbin Video shows up? Everything is identical for me, up until the point to click "Get started with Voice Access". I even get the same screen, just minus the KZbin video. Are there any other workarounds?

Yeah there is, instead of “Get started with voice access” search for “Use Morse Code” KZbin video will appear there.

Some LG phones/tablet requires Hard Reset, other people had some problems and after reset it was resolved. Hard reset and start over.

jay c after you restart tablet, enable TalkBack and don't turn off, then go to text to speech settings and quickly use two finger to slide down. The trick is it do it quickly with it without Talkback (I have tested and worked)
