I was trying to repair my phone using a video explained in Spanish, but, your tutorial showing to be more organized and best explained. In addition, you demonstrated to be sure that you was doing. I confess that I felt frustrated knowing that would have cost to repair the screen of my phone, but I felt even more frustrated when I decided to do it myself and saw it was a long and tedious process. However, when I watch your video, I made ​​the decision repair it on my own. Thanks to God and you achieve repair my phone. Thanks for this video. Very straightforward. Did this last night and so far so good. Going to have the lady test it out a bit today. Couple things for other users 1. On the bottom of the original LCD is a ribbon with resistors on it covered in a piece of blue tape. Make sure you peel that off and cover the new one with it 2. Be generous with the adhesive tape. I ordered the adhesive pad on the recommended items and cut it to fit. The top originally did not stick very well so I put the phone face down and put a spindle of CDs on top of it over night 3. Pay attention to the antenna cables. For some reason they don't want to sit very well when putting them back together (video also shows this) 4. When putting the two plastic pieces back on at the end, mine did not snap on completely (probably broke when removing) I ordered the spudger as well as a pad of tape. Pry tool was included. Tweezers also came in handy

Adhesive is mentioned at about 10:45, I adhere red double sided to the glass top and bottom, then adhere a second layer due to the side edges being a different height. Look at the glass and you will see the digitizer extends all the way to the side edges but not the top and bottom. You want the same height for all the adhesive on any glass to frame surfaces. I then apply a single layer to the sides of the frame of 1mm red double sided tape and remove backing then adhere after testing the screen.

Excellent video!!!...... BUT, when I put my phone back together, I can't hear anything through my ear speaker. They can hear me, but I can't hear them. Conversation is fine with speaker phone. I took my LG G2 to a "professional" to replace the screen and digitizer The end result looked great at first... until i started noticing a gap at the sides of the phone between the screen and the body of the phone. should i be worried about dust getting in there or even the screen falling out? obviously the guy screwed up with the adhesive...

I want to know if my LCD flex cable is loose if I press real hard on the right bottom right hand corner just right it turns on and it starts working again. but if you just drop it again it goes right back to the static screen.

The adhesive goes around the inner bezel of the unit. You can also put it on the LCD and touch screen itself but of course just around the borders where it sits into the frame assembly.

The best guide I have found. I have one problema fter changing my screen. I tried to turn the phone on and realized that I had not put the card in. The phone tried to start. It got to the circle loading and then turned off. I put the card in and tried again. The phone did the same thing. Since then I have not been able to get it to do anything. Where should I go from here?

I did the repair but am getting white lines through the screen and the colors are washed out. found if I put pressure on the one screen connector that it all clears up but as soon as I release it goes back. And suggestions?

I have a question. Perhaps you can help. I did everything as you had explained, but when I power up, a lot of white lines fill the display. Almost like one of the display connectors are not tight. I took it back apart and pressed the display connectors again. There was no change. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Ensure that the flex cables to seated and also double check that they are not making contact with the frame assembly. If checked and the issue continues, the LCD may be the issue.

Replaced the LCD and Digitizer step by step from the video, and at first the screen wouldn't turn on, then we readjusted a pop connector, and reseated the antenna. Now all we get is snow on the display any time the phone is turned on. Tried several things: reseating the glass front and attaching digitizer portion, reattaching pop connectors, reseating motherboard, and taping and retaping; the best we get is snow.

Mike Lyons The replacement part may be the issue. You may want to try a different LCD to see if you get the same result if all your connections are properly seeded.

The issue is the small circuit board with resistors that sits immediately below the white coax connector on the daughterboard. The original screen has orange insulating tape on it, that keeps noise from the coax from bleeding into the screen. Transfer that from the original, or cover that with some electrical tape.

Use a palette knife as a pry tool to get the glass off the frame, those plastic tools are crud for getting under the glass. I cut those plastic tools into pieces and use them as blocks to prop up glass on ipads that I want to test before adhering them down, thats all those blue plastic tools are good for.

Black Pain The Flex cable itself connecting the digitizer may be faulty or the digitizer all together. Just ensure your pins on the flex cable itself aren't damaged or on your device.

It's possible the flex cable may have came lose. Double check the connections to ensure they are seated correctly.

The LCD/Digitizer come as one unit. The screen is fused to the glass. When you take the phone apart take a blow dryer and heat the front of the screen so it will separate from the housing. You can use a business card or pry tool on the corner where the glass meets the housing.

Hunter Kackley Replacing your LCD and Touch screen will resolve the LCD issue. As the unit is fused, it's best recommended to do both.

Efren Urena Sounds like you got a defective screen. Unfortunately this happens a lot. When a company order 5000 screens at one time there is bound to be a couple that did not make the trip from China very well. Contact the supplier and ask for another screen. Im sure they will not have an issue sending you another screen. Good Luck!

For anyone wanting to follow these instruccions: Be sure to have in hand a proper glue or the adhesive strips recommended in this video. I didn't have the adhesive strips so I tried with super glue... It was quite difficult to glue the screen to its frame and didn't work so good; the sides NEED to be glued so they don't end up like humps on the sides. I couldn't find these adhesive strips so far. I'll look for them a bit longer. I'd like REPAIRS UNIVERSE told me if they can send them to me. I live in Lima, Peru. Please answer. Thank you!

Nelecccccc Hey. Sorry for the late reply. If you already have bougth your set replacement (lcd + digitizer) then you could take it to a technician so he can help you. Importing the adhesive strips can be a long wait. Super glue is not recommended. I just tried it because I was with no other option and was cero in cash to go to a technician. I ended up craking my replacement set because the super glue is horrible for this job and did not glue well, had to un-glue and it was a mess. It cracked, and had to buy another one. I bought this set with a frame. It has the screen and digitizer already glued to the frame. It's the most easy way to repair for yourself. And it's guaranteed that the sides are sealed, so it's a most effective replacement set. I finally got my G2 working like new again. And I did the move of the internal parts all by myself. It's easy.

Hi I ordered a LG G2 LCD digitizer pre-installed in a frame assembly. I tore down a broken LG G2 and re-assembled it in the new LCD digitizer frame and everything works well, except for the fact that when I tilt the screen to the left or to the right, I can see light bleeding out near the sides. Is this because the LCD/digitizer is not attached to the frame with strong enough adhesive or does this have to do with the LCD+digitizer not being attached together strongly enough?
