Not gonna lie here. Your video plus needing to remove the battery in the first place (it was stuck within the phone) saved the day big time. I literally had a ticking time bomb sitting next to my bed this entire time not knowing. The battery looks like its ready to explode and was causing enough problems to be a pain in the neck. Power button wasnt working like it was supposed to and screen looked as though there was a image burn. Put a new battery in and it works like new. Thanks again for an amazing video.

Hi thx for showing the best way to get the screen of an lg g5. Almost gave up with suctioncaps and other tools to open, because I was scared it would wreck my LCD. But just slide a guitar pick made it really easy! :D

I want to know what the metal housing disassembly looks like. The glass that protects the rear cameras, is that replaceable?

I mean I'm not sure how long it would last, but if you replace the battery and any aging replaceable components that may go bad then I don't see why it should not last. :)

@@PBKreviews I've collected plenty of spare parts, probably got that covered except maybe batteries, which aftermarket I've found so far are barely adequate. ;) Was more concerned about obselence.

@@thisisyourcaptainspeaking2259 If you're ok with a phone that will basically only have calling functionality in about 1 more year then yea its fine. But if you want to use it for any other purpose, since its software is not getting updated you will find that 90% of the apps on the app store wont download onto the phone etc.... Its their way of planned obsolescence.

On the motjerboard theres 2 little legs going into battery port can I tell me what those are for Cuz i accidentally broke the thin one

Its probably a connection point for the mic or speaker or something else in the area where the bottom lip touches the main board to gain power. So if you broke one of those, most likely whatever it is providing power for wont work. I don't have this phone anymore to take a closer look to see exactly what its for.

Its held on with adhesive if I'm not mistaken, you would just need to pry it off.

maybe raising the motherboard like that causes the connection points for the flash not to touch correctly causing it not to work. Have you tried undoing that and seeing if it works? If im not mistaken the flash is located on the back metal plate and those gold contact points need to touch the main board in same location.
