LG is looking great again. Many of my older LGs suffered from the dreaded boot loop. After baking the main boards in the oven many came back to life. The V20 still going strong. My last devices have been the Samsung Notes. Not getting the Note 10 Plus this year because no 3.5. LG kills it with the Quad DAC. This device may be my next one to get. Great review as always.

@@BigVar215 I have a 10000 MAH removable battery case on my LG V20 when i need three or so days of juice, and it goes from zero to 100 in 15 seconds, not to mention the IR blaster for controlling my tv and other devices. When I do not need the extra juice I just use the slim regular back, with an extra battery ready in my wallet, no fast charger, or wireless charging needed.

LG is so innovate and underated . They are not afraid to try new things and are the first t to come out with some very cool features and get zero recognition for it. If apple were to introduce the same features they would be considered a technological marvel and you wouldn't hear the end of how great they are . Hats off to LG !

I think it's brilliant I think it's more convenient than having a full folding phone you don't have to deal with bulkier device as such plus when you want a normal phone experience just pop it out of its case. I think LG smash it out the park with this set up.

I have had the phone for 4 months and battery used to be an issue and now it isn't! Even with 2 screens running i get a much longer work/play day. I am satisfied and got the the phone at a great price point so its all good. The camera is better than my Note 9 easily. I love the Quad dac. Music is still an important factor to me. Also AMSR recording in nature is pretty cool.

I've been an LG fan since 2014 and a user of their smart phone and no doubt i love Lg but this year i tried to use samsung for the first time the note 10 plus, its good and i like the note 10 plus but lg g8x is the kind of smart phone that im waiting for.. uh too soon for note 10 plus and too late for lg8x... maybe after my contract ends with my current network i will get the Lg again... quaddack, front facing cam, battery everything improves in this one.. nice video joshua Vergara. thank you for your unbiased reviews GODspeed

That's what I am talking about, this is true useful practical innovation a user can use everyday. LG has hit it out the park, samsung, apple, google huawei, have nothing to compete with this. until next year. If Apple or samsung, had this simple accesory for their phone, it was under $1000, they could not make enough of them. Agasin LG leads the way like 18/9+, thin bezels, narrow phones, dual and triple front and rear cameras, back fingerprint reader, HDR, curved oled, 1440P, MQA, quad dac, seperate amp, stereo recording, asmr, etc. However most large youtube tech reviewers will dismiss it out the gate, like Marques Brown, and only look at it's weakness, and may not even review it. They are owned by samsung and apple and want those freebies and invites. And LG simply does not have good marketing, and if they did, they do not have the money, samsung, and apple have already bought and paid retialers and carriers and online stores like amazon by paying for store space, weekly ad space, first to come up in search space, with LG regulated to the back of the store in the corner if they show it at all, with no training at all to the sales person to show the benefits. So it will be an uphill battle.

It will be *over twice as expensive as the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro.* That's a big, big problem for LG. They have ZERO brand recognition anymore (compared to Samsung or even Google). They need to "out-Xiaomi" Xiaomi now (make cheap flagships).

@@odeiraoloap Hoping with the screen, it will not be too much, but it does have a 6.4" oled, sd card and headphone jack, wireless charging, water resistance, 32GB selfie cam, flushed cameras, pro video and audio mode, bigger battery,improved cameras and ois over the G8, and you get the second screen and case. And of course the seperate quad dac and amp. Which is a lot more than any flagship phone under $1000 at the moment, actually above $1000 too. I am guessing $899 with case and second screen, but hoping $699-$$799. And than marking that puts it up against $1000+ flagships.

Yes, it does not look as fancy as that actual foldable phones like Galaxy fold. However, it seems more practical and more durable. Not to mention it is only half the price of galaxy fold. I skipped the first dual screen and v50 since I had G8 at the time. However, I will be looking into buying this phone this time around.

I've seen the Sams Fold in person and it looks cooler when it's closed with its case on. Open, it's neat, and the size is nice but, there's a noticeable (even when completely open) crease down the center of the screen where it folds. I could forgive it if it was the same price as the LG, but at $2k? That's a "No" from me. I'd rather have the LG.

Two screens will obviously tax the battery more than one. Did LG stop using PERMANENT GLUE on the battery like they did on the previous G8 so that it will be possible to replace the battery? Wow... When the LG G8 had 3D face unlock like the iPhone, most reviewers didn't even mention it. Now they apparently remove 3D face unlock on the LG G8X (for smaller notch?) and again tech reviewers fail to even notice it. This is so lame. Imagine Apple adding and then removing 3D face unlock on their iPhones and tech KZbinrs fail to notice it. Unthinkable.
