They are making them with R600 Compressors. Will have to use lock ring to install them . So far they are coming. I already had one this week a 2020 with Abbas R600 compressor. Btw I replace about 3-4 LG compressors R134a a day lmao

It's missing tw-three things actually: a tv or screen to connect to your phone so you can all watch the news in the morning on the fridge(not like there's anything on the news except the world ending), a camera inside the fridge and freezer so you can see what you need, and an automatic or voice controlled door closing operation

I had an LG fridge with linear compressor that died gradually over 5 years. As an engineer, I decided to repair it as a project and learn about refrigeration systems. When changing the compressor out, I found black powder within the refrigeration lines. It is the root cause of the compressor failure and a sign of a manufacturing issue: no inert gas purging when the lines were brazed causing oxidation of the copper lines. Anyone with just basic understandings of refrigeration system would know that, so it is hard to believe such mistakes can be made in a factory with good quality control, or it was done on purpose for build-in obsolescence. A casual search on google will show you how unreliable LG refrigerators are.

Nice fridge...my LG was 3000.00$ and I paid cash thinking that I would get 10 years minimum...did not even get 5 years and the paint was rusty under the water dispenser in less than 2 of those years. I did my research and found there are very few expensive refrigerators that are also dependable. Now I have a cheap basic fridge. Lesson? Life is Good when you can depend upon your appliances being an investment instead of an expense.
