LG Smart TV Randomly Restarting Issue Fixed.

This is a 55LA6230 LG smart tv which had randomly restarting problem. I was able to figure out that this is due to some fault in LED back-light driver circuit or the power supply fault. As the first step I checked capacitors quickly and decided to replace the LED driver IC.
It works...!
Before the video upload, i run the tv for a day continuously to make sure that the issue is fixed.
If you see the issue and difficult to find the LED driver IC, just replace the whole power supply as a quick solution. You can order the power supply from ebay or aliexpress.

Thank you for the video, I have the same exact issue with a 55SK8100PLA and LG told me it was the mainboard... wanted 230€ for the repair. Bought a used one on ebay, same result. Always thought it was a PSU related issue due to my background with computer troubleshooting though. Will give it a shot, thank you

The board removal begins at 13:00. I only say because there's about 8 ad breaks between the beginning and that point!

Same here. I replaced the main board via ebay but it still restarts. Did you manage to get yours fixed? If so what dud you do? Thanks

There's a chance you bought a duff board that was in the same condition as the original. One thing to try is pulling the connector that links to the control buttons on the tv. It may work as cheap fix depending on the fault.
