Well I'm still rocking the Stylo 2 so there's that :D. I'm trying to figure out if the Stylo 4+ or Stylo 5 is the way to go though. Can't see a solid reason why Boost would sell the 4+ for $20 more, but the fact that they are doing so is keeping me from commiting to the 5.

Moto G7 power is the better buy. It has the snapdragon 632 processor & 3gb of ram. no bloatware and android pie for less than $200. Its also much snappier. The 720p screen is very vibrant and well calibrated. Most people wouldn't even know that it's not a 1080p screen. LG ought to be ashamed of themselves. They don't give damn about us the consumer. A total disgrace.

I held the Moto G7 power in my hand and played with it about an hour ago and it looks beautiful. The fact that LG would do this is a disgrace and the're depending on people stupid enough to by it. LG could have offered us the SAME 632 processor and at least 4gb of ram IF THEY WANTED TOO. you'd better off buying the Samsung Galaxy A30, The Umidigi F1 play, and other phones that are MUCH better for the same price or less. The just don't bank on us buying from Amazon or B&H photos, or Swappa for devices. Who would be dumb enough to buy the Stylo 5

@@Jdogg4089 MOto G7 has more feature can record 4k with a snap dragon 632 vs 450 can do timelapse even low light which lg stylo tend to lose light. Only good thing about the LG has a better display screen but one thing I hate about l gStylo 4 and 5 there video recording at 1080p looks crap and I like 1080 yes but it looks like shot from a 720p video recording. I use to have LG stylo 4+ replace it for the LG G7 and I honestly say QHD+ with 4k recordin and a snapdragon 821 is amazing phone faster and lighter.

I like both of them but the 6 is solid! Glass frame, stylus pops out and the p35 media tek Helio is a reasonable step up from the snapdragon 450. Just because it's a snapdragon doesn't mean it is great. Great video once again Kevin Breeze!!!! 💜

If you have the 4 trust me do not upgrade. I upgraded through Boost because my stylo 4 broke and the stylo 5 was only $10 more on sale. It's identical but may be just a tad faster. Idk. But it's pretty much the same phone. No need to upgrade if your phone works fine. I got my stylo 5 (2-3 months ago) for $159.99 I believe plus a percentage off for the sale like $10-15 off it came out to be.

I'm usually a big LG advocate but this has got to be the most disappointing "upgrade" LG has ever issued. There was no attempt to improve the Stylo 4 at all. The fact that I'm nearly certain they will not update the Stylo 4 to 9 pie because then the minimal difference between the 2 models gets even smaller is the most disgusting part. I for one will not purchase a mobile device I know won't be receiving future updates past one year.

Yep, it's outdated already... The only good thing about it is the price, but it really needs more than 3GB of RAM and more than 32GB of storage. At this point, 4GB and 64GB should be the minimum. LG has also done this with the K30 and K40, both of them only have 16GB of storage, whereas they should have at least 32GB... The K20 Plus had 32GB. Who is designing the phones at LG?

@Kevin Breeze, most Stylo 4s feature the 1.5 GHz not 1.8 GHz. I realize they list the 1.8 as the default, but if you look at what is being sold, Virgin, Boost both are shipping the 1.5 version, not sure what the rest are. Both of theirs also come with 2 GB RAM not 3 GB as is listed in the phone specs as default. Boost is additionally selling a Stylo 4+ that they list as having the 1.5 GHz processor but with 3 GB RAM. Interestingly they are selling that for $20 more than the Stylo 5 despite the fact that the 5 has the newer OS and a better processor. Not sure what is going on with these naming schemes and multiple device configurations. It's getting confusing trying to sort out what one actually gets with a phone. Phone Arena lists the specs for the Stylo 4 you do in your video, but then you go to the sellers website and the specs are all reduced.

FRICK....the Stylo 5 is a bust.... wait a minute, we haven't seen the Metro by TMobile version yet. But I have a sneaky suspicion ( and a bit of a phone wonk...😁...ahem.. ) that Metro's version may or may not be a different variant ( ie Stylo 5 Plus ). AT&T have the 4 Plus, Metro, Cricket, TMobile and Boost DON'T. And it's a PITB ( pain in the butt ) that in order to get Android 9.0 Pie, get the 5, because the 4 won't get it. The horror.....both the Stylo 1 and 2 Plus got A system update, and the 3 Plus still waiting for Oreo, if nothing else! I hope the 3 Plus gets Oreo this year, if not, I might consider either the Coolpad Legacy or the new Umidigi A5 Pro late this year or next Income Tax time....next year. But, it's nice to see the 5 in detail before passing any judgement...ish. Great video summery Kevin. Oh, by the way.... I'm still using the 3 Plus....and the waiting ( of Metro by TMobile's version of the 5 ) continues..😬. 😉!

Yup. There will almost certainly be a 5+, just as there was a 4+ and a 3+, and it will be exclusive to somebody. The 4+ was a boost exclusive, the 3+ was a Metro exclusive. Maybe the 5+ will go to Cricket? Wait and see.

I had the Stylo 4 when I was on Metro PCS and yeah the Stylo 4 isnt too much different then the Stylo 5 but I'm currently on Sprint and chose the Stylo 5 mainly bc when switching to Sprint the Stylo 5 was only $35 needed up front, but I'm thinking about going with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.

I don't think you can buy the 4 with Metro anymore. My 4 is dying. Headphone jack basically dead. I have to put pressure on my usb port to get it to charge. Is LG bad with the ports. SET HOME TOUCH BUTTONS: Swipe down from the Notification bar > select the Settings icon > Display tab > Home touch buttons > Button combination > select and drag the desired option to the desired location. On this phone you have to swipe up from the bottom to display these buttons at any moment in whatever app

Wow people complain too damn much, Lol I like my LG Stylo 5 but the camera has been the same since the first or second Stylo.....it's ridiculous but it does have 3 gigs of RAM instead of 2 gigs of RAM it's a nice phone though. On boost which is what I have it was $137 after tax so to me that's a deal! If you don't like the Stylo why are you watching videos on it?! Haha I know everyone has their own opinion but come on the Stylo line is good I mean do I wish LG did more with the Stylo 5? Yes of course! But it's not like it's a bad phone!!!!! People act like it's the worst phone ever made. 😔😔😔

Stylo 5 is ok. Stylo 3 does more than stylo 5. You can't put put Signature on text messages and it doesn't alert you if haven't read a text.

I have a question for you. I can't seem to get an answer anywhere. When I go to settings, storage, files, at the very top it displays my phone model but for some reason as of the last few days after the phone model is (FGN) Do you know what FGN stands for or what it is? Is it some kind of malware? Thanks
