LG Stylo 6 How to take apart, teardown, disassemble...

I'm debating on putting a new battery in my LG Stylo 6 when I replace the charging port but I wasn't sure how complicated the battery would be to switch out but this video makes it looks relatively easy as long as I don't lose patience and get aggravated with it. I hope it worked out for you! I had to get my charging port repaired/replaced last year, but the old battery worked better when it could charge up properly... Then, last Saturday, it fell out of my pocket as I got in my car; I didn't notice, and drove over it with the car! 😮 Thought I left it in the house, but, it was there, face down in the driveway, when I got back! 😢 The screen protector and case really paid off of this one, as it was still working, although, by Sunday, the battery was clearly pillowing (can't really say if it hadn't already been happening, but...) I ordered up a battery kit, on Sunday, and just put it in, Today! Though, I would not recommend this video as guidance. A. There is much unnecessary disassembly indicated; B. He glosses over the process* of removing the backplate; C. He is really wrestling, and twisting to get the battery out! D. He doesn't really address how to re-secure the backplate, again. Look for at least 1 more video! Glad I did! * my backplate had already been off, when I had the charging port worked on last year, so, when the battery really got to pillowing on Sunday, it popped the back plate halfway off, again....)

this phone is more jacked then mine the ACTUAL LG place in korea couldent fix my phone saying they didnt have the parts to fix it ....yet im seeing it possible right here so honestly thanks for uploading this cause ima just become my own technician

I really thought this was a top of the line smart phone. Im find out more issues from time to time. The main one is its not DP Alt supportive so it doesn't work with an HDMI adapter. This phone is the Chrysler 300 of luxury compared to a Cadillac or Benz.

Mine's still in great working condition. I was just curious what's involved in swapping batteries when the time comes. Can the back be removed without shattering it like that?

You have to make sure to heat it up really hot. Make sure to power off the phone. There's a lot of glue and you need to soften it up around all the edges or else it will crack

You can find the replacement charging board on Amazon for usually around 15 usd but there are probably other sources too

​@@false3695 thanks for that,I think my lg stylo6 was fine for years but had charging issues,I had gotten a brand new charger,pulled the plug out n it yanked the port out with it,I then messed up the hole trying to open my phone up lol. Tbh I think of I just replaced the port or could charge the battery somehow my phone would be operational

I would heat the battery to remove it. I punctured battery and caught fire.

Heat the battery will make it explode. Besides the batter is thick and by the time heat gets to the bottom you have a fire on your hands.

U Hi I had my stylo 6 in my pants pocket and I got wet by rain . My phone didnt charge for a day then it started charging normal but I cant screen touch I can scroll too the apps but they wont open
