LG Top Load Washer Wash Plate Replacement

My wash plate is the same as this one and I can't get it off. I have removed the bolt, but the wash plate just won't budge. What do I do?

Thanks so much for excellent video advice, I saved $200 repair bill just to remove small drill bit from under the agitator. LG advised there was no way to remove the agitator except to call an LG technician!

But what wears out on the wash plate center spine of the agaitor?

My washer plate keeps coming off. I have put it back on several times. The screw is tight, but during the wash cycle it keeps coming off. A repairman replaced the tub and that's when I started having the problem. Is there suppose to be a lock washer on the screw ? Thanks.

I removed the cover and the 10MM bolt is broken so the wash plate just comes off. Do I need to get another tub or can the bolt be replaced?

This helped me get a a trapped dime out the plate took some elbow grease to pull off

I replaced clutch assy but my wash plate still spins freely? When washing it does not agitate. What possibly wrong?

Washplate keeps coming off. Installed new 10mm bolt. Now during the weigh and wash cycle the Washplate rubs loudly. Also with Washplate removed there is a high pitched noise during the wash cycle. These appear to be two different problems. Any ideas? Thanks. WT5101HV LG

what grease is needed on the splines? Is that a bearing in the plate or just a steel collar?

Does anyone know if the LG part #5845e1003b will also work in this machine aswell? my wash plate smells and I want to replace it. I have tried to clean it but there is no way to take the plastic loose from the metal. I see the 5845e1003b has larger drain holes

Thanks! But what wears out on the wash plate? I see an impeller hub that goes onto the shaft but it's not spinning inside the wash plate. The shaft is splined however the inside of the impeller hub is not! Is that where the wear is? Thanks again!

+Clint Warzecha We are not sure what wear plate you are referring to. There is the plate, the tub, and hardware that go inside the outer tub.

Anyone know what the warranty is on this? I'm not sure if it's worth paying for a service call and find out it's under warranty.
