I think the rubber back is actually better looking than the glossy S6 Edge because you can see all the smudges and fingerprints on the S6 Edge. The V10 is actually cleaner looking - better looking.

This 60+ lady agrees, great review. I have been considering the V10 for the past two months, upgrading from the Note 3 which I LOVE .....for the big screen, great camera, and the general ease of use (especially since it is my first smartphone purchased early 2014). Unlike you, I don't use the S pen. What is really important to me is the camera and video as I don't want to carry a dedicated camera when I travel. Unless you think there is a better camera phone out there, this will be my next purchase. Is there a better camera phone out there? So, thank you for comparing all the top phones out there in a thoughtful, comedic and easy to understand way. You ROCK Flossy!

Excellent video my friend. In the phablet category made prominent by Samsung NOTHING beats the Note line especially the Spen abilities, feature enhancements, and software implementations everything else is definitely obsolete. My S6Edge+ is definitely boss too those are my two daily phablets. I will applaud LG for it's video capabilities, 64gb of storage out the box that's excellent for us storage hounds.

I don't think it'll be over $800. I think since the base variant is 64GB, it'll start at $700 or maybe even a little less. Hopefully LG realizes that they don't have the brand recognition that Samsung and Apple have in the US and no average consumer is going to spend over $800 on one of their phones.

I felt that their sense had less bloatware than Samsung put on their phones for a long time, but now there's no comparison with the current generation of Samsung phones

How can you get a premium feel and still have a removable battery? The only way is to have a premium aluminum back is with screws and shit. Unscrew it and replace the battery. It's hard to have both. Can't please everyone. I like the removable battery with 4g of ram and SD cards. My iphone 6 doesn't have it. my nexus 6 doesn't have it. It wil be refreshing to go back to this style of phone.

i just did. I upgraded to the LG g4 from the LG g2 which didn't have a sd card or removable battery, and before that I had a lg nexus 4 no SD card or removable battery. having sd card ans removable battery just gives you a lot of flexibility. There nothing like going from 0 percent battery life to 100 percent battery life in less than a minute.

#1 The build is great. The rubber back, as you call it, it doesn't feel cheap. Its a solid build. And like you said, you will probably have your phone in a case most of the time, so it doesnt matter. BTW, I like the back button. It's my first time, but it doesn't mess with my volume control when I put this in the car mount. And the sensor in back is the best I've ever used...Samsung, apple...the Best. I've had this V10 for 1 day as of now. Average user with lots of email, medium brightness, You Tube, Facebook, Twitter etc. I am at 44% charge. A wireless back/case is in the works, FYI. Good Review, Floss. I paid $672.00

Well the High-Fi audio is a lot more than just an equalizer. This phone actually has a digital-to-analog audio converter and a real amp, which is basically an audiophile's dream. I didn't even realize this until way after the phone came out because none of the mainstream reviewers covered it and LG surprisingly doesn't advertise it. It pretty much puts its headphone sound quality on the level of high-end music players that cost several hundred dollars.

Just bought one with a leather back plate. Its the model 961N via Hong Kong on EBay Tdimension I think his store is called. Its all black with gold trim. Sweet duo SIM model. Excellent communication. No I am not a spammer just telling my experiance thus far. Haven't got it yet but they have been very good with communication which is huge and immediately shipped with Fed EX tracking number. Looking forward to getting this phone.

Glad you took some time to focus on LG's UI. They haven't gotten much credit for their latest version on the G4 and V10. Runs super smooth, and def supports the most customization I've seen in a OEM skin. Still like TouchWiz on my GS6 but the LG UI is my favorite of the two.

Great Video! I bought the V10 3 weeks ago and love it. It's a great phone. I've had the note 3, note 4 and the edge 6 plus. The V10 (to me ) is better from a overall prospective. Durability is a priority for me. I like the fact the buttons aren't on the side. I still use the edge plus as my second phone but the V10 is the phone I rather use.

I've been watching his reviews for a couple years now. unlike some of the other channels, he always focuses mostly on day to day usage. He knows his shit but he doesn't make the review too confusing with SOC specs, display specs, etc. Just simple observations that everyone can get on board with. I've had the LG G2 since release and love the buttons on the back. You just have to get used to them. Wireless charging is on this. You get the new back cover 'CPR-120'. But you have to buy it. It should be free.

Love your channel bro. I've put a couple people on to you. I only have beef with your Nova Launcher comment. I've used Nova for years and put it on every phone amd om some phones it actually clears up lag. Nova is crazy with the customization you can put on without having to go through rooting your phone and it's super smooth and cleans us Samsung's touch wiz which even though it's better still has its issues. Give it another try my guy. Keep doing what you're doing

The motherboard overheating issue on the v10, 20, and a few others really killed the longevity of these. As well as the USB port issues…but I’m 3 years strong on my v60 and other than the USB port going out it was a pretty decent phone.

Flossy, You're my go to to guy for phone advice. I went and bought this phone today. One thing they don't tell you is that the back, home and recently used apps are part of the 5.7 inch screen, very unlike the galaxy phones. I already called Verizon and had them reactivate my note. I measured it a few times to make sure. I'm holding the V10 next to my 5.7" note and I'm thinking no way. The phone dimensions are a scam and the girl I talked to at Verizon had no problem agreeing with it. I'm taking it back tomorrow. I think it might be time to switch carriers. Any suggestions. I have to have a removable battery and extra storage. And bigger the better. Thanks for all videos!

Speaking of aesthetics, as you said, it really is a matter of personal taste... When you're waving that gold Galaxy Edge you see a shiny and elegant premium finish phone, I see dirty fingerprints all over it. And I can imagine myself taking that out of my pocket to show it off and "whoops, wait a second, I need to clean this up!" (embarrassing moment). ;P That's why I like my Oneplus One Bamboo backcover: it's really hard to get it dirty with visible prints and stains. Finish materials aside, what it really catch my eye on the LG V10 is the perfectly symmetrical design: I really like what they did with the camera frame, the flash and laser sensor of the same size and the buttons. Shaped like a centered "T", nice and balanced...

good review of the phone. the phone price totaled $600 for the LG V10. The durability is 2nd to none. The features of the phone being able to unlock without buttons is sleek. the overall innovation and thought that went into this phone took some time and it shows for it. Your video definately did help me decide in my decision to buy this phone

I got my LG V10 at Verizon on Black Friday with a trade-in Samsung S4 and 2 year contract the phone cost was $120. That's $5 a month over 2 years.

Considering the fact that this is likely LG experimenting with some ideas publicly (like they did with the buttons on back with the G2, flexible phone with the G flex and now secondary screen and other things), I can't wait to see how the G5 turns out. Hopefully, this sells well enough for them to keep some design ideas from it like it happened from G2>G3 and Flex 1> Flex 2, etc (assuming they don't want to keep these design ideas unique to the V line if they continue it). Also, once qualcomm doesn't flop with the 820, we'll have a sick flagship next year. In any case, if this isn't too expensive like you said, this thing will be a killer! I might even cop it if the price is right. I love all-around good phones like this ( which is why I got the G3).

You're absolutely correct, the big issue I have with all the flagship devices these days is the price. $800 to a $1000 every year is ridiculous. In comparison, look at the HD big screen TV you could get for a grand....craziness.

one cool thing I saw on this phone, if you have the phone paired to Bluetooth like the LG Tone, and you feel like putting on your high end headphones you plug in and you don't have to unpair the Bluetooth headphones. it asks if you want to switch to headphones.
