Pritam Parab hell naw. Try to take a selfie with this phone.. it's ridiculou how bad it is. Back camera is comparable with note8. S8 has single camera. And BTW, pixel takes better shots than all these above.

All phones have mediocre low light camera performance, that's if you're speaking from a photographers perspective. Decrease the shutter speed and get a tripod if you want decent low light.

But you can use the rear camera for selfies very easily because the volume buttons and voice command can snap the photos for you.

Im debating between the LG-V30, G6, G7-ThinkQ and the Galaxy-S9 at T-Mobile. - they also have the G6 but im not sure and know much about that phone. im coming from a ZTE-Zmax Pro phone. Its sad that T-Mobile dont have much choices when it comes to phones. Its either old clunky phones from 4~6 years ago, or Samsung & LG. everything else it just Meh..... Though I seen the G7-ThinkQ - But I dont like tall designs on smart-phones and I really hate that new notch thingy apple smacked everyone with. My current ZTE Zmax Pro has only 32-gb rom and 2-gb ram and its slow as hell, when the phone is packed with apps and used for 3 or more months. you tend to feel the sluggishness on the ZTE Zmax Pro to the point that would make you want to throw the phone across the street on to oncoming traffic and in hopes that a truck runs over it.. Since T-Mobile dont have much to pick from, im afraid im only left with choosing the LG-V30 - Also T-Mobile does not have any other colors for the LG-V30 except that horrid gray color. And I also dont know if they will be getting the new LG-V35 ThinkQ as I keep asking and no one seems to answer me in the stores or on their twitter.

I don't like that the videos on flagship smartphones have the "baked in" oversharpening and that there is no option to switch it off. The cloud blocks are there due to oversharpening. If there was an option to shoot without sharpening the videos would look much more natural and professional on both phones or any flagship phone... also it looks to much flat (2d instead of 3d) because of that.

Fantastic camera comparisons. It's not specs but actual, true SIDE BY SIDE differences which you explain with arrows etc. NICE WORK. I'd go with the LG but only because I can get it much cheaper than the Samsung and I do really like the wider angle of the LG. Thanks for putting this up.

I just got my new LG V30+ yesterday and I'm loving it, like you mentioned that you don't really take selfie in the dark or low light and I'm more of a rear camera user for still and video shots so I can live with not so great front facing camera.

Always interesting too compare smartphone cameras , No cameras are perfect , and all cameras have strengths and weaknesses in different areas. Even some of my old phones still hold their own well in some areas compared to the new models and may even be a tad better.

You have 2 very good smartphones here and both take great pics. So picking one comes down to the overall device and by that I mean it’s design build price brand name features etc. For me Samsung have a clear lead here and hence I’d choose the s8 over the v30 but that’s just my decision.

LG V30 has dual cameras so if you zoom it wins hands down, V30 has hifi dac and longer battery life. Choice for me is easy one.

The LG (which I own) has an awesome rear camera. The wide angle is a great bonus too. But that selfie cam is horrible, really disappointed. Not that I take selfies, but I do use it for video calls and sharing family moments, in low light it really sucks. Far far better on the S7 edge I had before. This is a superb phone apart from that.

During daylight, the V30 is slightly better. When the light drops, the V30 falls apart and the S8 stretches it legs and outperforms it imho very severely. The S8 has so much more dynamic range in challenging situations that the V30 looks mediocre at those times...

Both are good, but the v30 wins most of the shots. What surprised me was the v30 front facer, it's supposed to be terrible, but I think it's better than the s8's, which is supposed to be one of the best. If I was buying a phone today I'd get the v30 for sure. Having watched a load of videos it has the longest battery life of all smartphones, the best video camera, the best audio and one of the best screens. LG absolutely nailed it with this. Until galaxy s9. Lol. The note 8 is better but costs a lot more.

I think in most situations the V30 edges out the S8. In low -light, I would have to push back slightly...the S8 while not great was considerably better than the V30. LG has come a long way baby since it's previous GOLDSTAR days...GOLDSTAR...junk from Korea...now LG is not only competitive we can see noticeable quality improvements over its competitors. For some, it may just boil down to brand loyalty and personal preference. We tend to overlook the wart on our wife's nose because we love her...however the blonde next door is hideous with her smaller, less noticeable wart.

I don't know if you read comments or not but I have a suggestion. The most interesting part of any comparison test is when the subjects are placed against a standard....a base line. The way you compared, for instance, the 4k stabilization from the Go Pro to the V30. When you have a standard then its easy to see how far close to or off of he mark the phones themselves are. When you just compare Picture A to Picture B or Video A to Video B without a standard of reality then you're leaving the viewer to choose subjectively, rather than on objective tools. If you take a high quality camera and shoot those same videos then compare the S8 to the V30, then you see just how off the mark the S8 is in terms of blowing out colors with saturation. There's no doubt that the S8 does this so that it can take better night time photos but I often find that color representation is ridiculously off the mark. Its even noticeable in your videos, but without a standard...for what color your jacket actually is, the viewer is forced to just choose which video pleases the Eye more, rather than which one is a more accurate representation of reality.

Jdog Montes so in good lighting its servicable. It's 5.0 megapixel how it's quality is at 1080p . if you want to get 2k res out of it you have to set it at 3.2 megapixel.
