Looks like a great phone to me. Sharp and eye-catching, better looking than any on the market right now, especially on the back with the distinct lack of a block of cameras like Samsung and Huawei are offering. OnePlus 8 has all three cameras pop out in one inch+ bump, so this LG is cosmetically better. No problem with the selfie teardrop either. Also, a popup camera would increase the thickness of the phone. Could be a positive step for LG. Hopefully the camera is a powerhouse.

Just like the ppl who hate on notches when in reality it disappears after a few days of usages, same with lg devices. Their core functionalities are absolutely solid (cam, battery life, speed & performance) the rest of the extra stuff you don't even have to use like ever, they just advertise it to make the phone stand out in a market that's overly competitive. Don't trust everything you hear these reviewers say, don't be a parrot. If it wasn't for lg you wouldn't have quad hd res on your phone, a wide angle cam, a tall aspect ratio phone, enhanced Bluetooth audio that's on Samsung phones (and most likely going to pixel and Android later) and a bunch of stuff. They are literally one of the best companies on the planet with great devices that don't get enough recognition cuz of people being parrots and blind sheeps following whatever they hear KZbinrs say when most of those people haven't used the phone or even seen or held one. Simply hate on LG cuz others do it.

LG is better than most phones in s lot of areas. The TINY notch doesn't bother me & I actually like it better there than the out of place black dot called a hole punch off to the side of my screen. Phone looks great just as good as any phone. No need to follow trends LG. KEEP INNOVATING.

Hi Sal, I am experiencing a pretty annoying issue with my Galaxy A51. Everytime I play Free Fire, Pubg and lots of not so demanding games, my phone is lugging like hell after five minutes of gaming without any kind of overheating problems. That annoys me a lot and I need your advice and help. Will it be fixed with a software update or is it a permanent problem with the device?

I have a Snapdragon 855 phone, pubg still hangs. It isn't well optimised for android. And , does your unit have Snapdragon or Exynos chip? If it's Exynos then there's no scope for betterment they're trash. If Snapdragon is present then a software update will do good

Idk why you have those problems, both our phones have the same chipset and my m30s doesnt lag like hell after 5 minutes, I get the occasional lag after 3 hours but it's barely there it happens like once a game

I'm satisfied with the design. With that said, I agree they really should've focused on eliminating that notch if design is to be their main selling point. If they revamp that software and just go more towards stock with a few LG touches (quad DAC, manual mode, etc) they might have something.

I don't like either the tear drop notch or the hole punch but if I'm forced to choose I'd go for the tear drop notch because when you hide both you lose less screen real state with it than with the hole punch. Beautiful camera set up and it would look even better in the centre.

If they can put the following in, they'll win: - Below 750-800 CAD - Headphone Jack - Expandable Storage - 8gigs of ram - Not clunky software - No gimmicky features that can't be modified by people who can actually make it useful (I'm looking at you Pixel 4) - 1080p resolution at least - 90Hz (120 is overkill rn) - No 5G because it's useless rn. - If no wireless charging, make it a good plastic back that feels nice to hold - The option of either IP68 water resistance OR removable backs for battery replacement.

I actually did like the looks of it. It's fresh, at least from what we are seeing today. No huge camera bump. That can turn out to be the USP for the brand. Yes, it should have got a hole-punch, or a better looking pop-up camera. But still a water drop style notch isn't looking that bad. The pricing sbould be aggressive. Fingers crossed for LG.

I feel that the LG already had a good spot in middle range. I disagree with the pop up cameras, people want their phone to last and putting a pop up camera will push people away. As for the design, I think it looks stunning and better than several flagships.

If they can hit it at $599 and it has a decent camera, they got a solid chance. I'm in a lot of S20 Ultra groups and a lot of people are really upset with what we got for crazy price tags. For example, the Ultra can't scan a piece of paper without ghosting the words. The biggest issue was when I couldn't deposit a check because the app couldn't recognize the edge of the check. I had to pull out my Note 10+. I'm not the only one, there's a bunch of people that have returned their phones with some swearing off Samsung for good. I don't think the base S20/+ are having these issues though.
