It's the kick in the 🍑 Samsung needs to stop iterating on details of their foldables and finally bring meaningful improvement again 🤷‍♂ But out of all competitors I personally think Huawei's foldables are the least threat. Honor and Oppo have much better offerings.

Lack of innovation will kill your brand

IMO ALL of Samsungs Flagships and Foldables have been pretty boring and lazy. For me the upgrades I like best in the last 3yrs have been improved battery performance/efficiency and 5x zoom which was a clear copy off the iPhone. I like Samsung, but they've been boring/lazy and actually taken away IR Blaster, Expandable Storage, headphone Jack, and fast charging is a joke by comparison to the world stage. I'd also like dual physical sim and dual sim itself to be more seamless like iPhone. IMO the larger screen on the Flip has been the most exciting feature in the last 3yrs and that's just sad, since Motorola had a bigger screen that same year and better main screen to outer screen continuity.

Wait and see what happens when the Vivio X Fold 3 Pro with Global Rom comes onto the market! It has everything a TOP foldable phone needs. It is slim and light, has a very good camera and a large battery. For me, the best overall package at the moment! It's a shame, I wanted to stay loyal to Samsung but it's a disgrace how new phones are brought onto the market year after year for $2000 without any innovations or improvements! Shame on you Samsung!! 🤬

I don't know but I've been to China thrice and right now I'm in china again but I only saw samsung folds in public and mostly those quiet wealthy chinese who goes onboard our ship. Surprised to see how huawei managed that lead now I have to ask the locals.

Sad to say this it's not the Samsung we saw back during S9 S10 days. meanwhile pixel is trying hard on everything to improve. All because they are not the best and they need to reach the top, but once they reach the top I'm kinda worried that we Google will be like Samsung too.

This brings me great joy. I've hated Samsung for what they're doing (or rather, NOT doing) with their foldables. They better step their game up soon.

Samsung began taking things away from their customers and removing features all while increasing their prices all to copy Apple, cough cough, I mean save the planet from eWaste. Meanwhile they brick perfectly working watches and make repairing your display financially impossible. So what are customers forced to do? Throw the Samsung product IN THE TRASH and buy a new one which ends up costing less than the repairs!

Well, the US revoked Huawei's ban bcos China finally decided to play the same by banning iphones in parts of China & and market shares dropped. I'm glad Huawei is back and will give Samsung a proper competition.

I switched from an iPhone 8 to the new S24+ and I'm amazed how this thing is a beast and also so huge. It’s so hard using it with only one hand because it constantly want to slip out of your hand when accessing the top corners.

Reason why I haven't bought a foldable yet is exactly this.. Samsung Z Fold hasn't been interesting yet. The Oppo Fold was interesting piece of hardware but I want either Apple software or proper stock Android or a good UI like OneUI.. but Samsung had rly been sleeping so no reason to get a fodable.. rocking S24 Ultra atm.. probably will keep it for awhile till the foldable scene becomes a tad more competitive

Same will happen with phones, releasing the same phone over and over with small changes. People will get tired at some point and give up. The best CEO of Samsung Electronics was Jong-Kyun Shin. This was when Samsung were innovating, the S6 edge, the Note edge and so forth, ever since he was replaced. There was nothing to be proud about.

I brought a new Samsung phone annually for about 5 years straight. Now, I haven't purchased one since the Note 20 because they don't innovate and they remove useful tools (MST). If they stagnate, they deserve to fall.
