@@stacia6678 well they do make you snore sometimes. I mean when you release mediocre products people forget you exist. I love LG. I had the Arista 2 & 3. Stylo 2+, 4 and now the 6, Washer/Dryer combo and even TV's. They really don't do anything although they have better everything.

I just got the LG g8x thinq its serious never had a problem with lg phones had them for years. Also the dual screen case makes it that much more killer. I also have the red regular lg g8 thinq as well a little smaller then the x but as you said lg is killing it.

I have always liked LG. Their charging port used to break easily. I see they switched to the USB C so I will definitely switch back over. Thank You for the review Mr. Floss!

@@jaysondawkins3997 dude the same thing happened to my LG v40. First the charging port stopped working. So I switched to the wireless charging, it lasted for a while before that too eventually stopped working. I'm debating whether to take a chance and buy the velvet or go with the Samsung A71.

LG phone are always underrated. They have the best vaue imo.

LG left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths with their abysmal software support on their prev phones. They say they will support their phone for 2 years, but that usually means only 1 major update and a security patch or two. Samsung in the mean time will release double or triple the amount of updates. Google, and Apple have continuous updates for up to 5 years giving their phones the most longevity.

Thank you Floss for another incredible review. As always, such professional production and presentation. I have a G8 that I love, and the Velvet looks like an awesome phone for the money. I'm impressed that LG has included their 2-year warranty. A huge omission it that they didn't include their awesome 32-bit Hi-Fi QuadDAC. If you have high-resolution music and quality wired headphones, the sound is life-changing. And thanks so much for hitting the volume button to activate the shutter. I envied the Sony Experia 1 ll for having a dedicated shutter button. Because of your review, my G8 has one too. I would have bought the Velvet if LG had included the 32-bit Hi-Fi QuadDAC.

LOL Another badass phone from LG. finally they stepped their game up with the release timing and not just stickin to dark colors. Surprised they don't have a Royal Purple Velvet. A little disappointed they left out the DAC. Their top tier phones are known for that audio output. But to their credit they kept the jack. Lookin forward to what the battery endurance will be with/without second screen. Peace Flossy.
