There simply isn't enough for it to sense the load. It probably thinks you have an empty tub.

You must select a wash cycle first on the left hand side before pushing the start button.

LG washing machines default to the normal cycle using factory settings if you just press the start button after turning on the unit.

Tried this no luck, also drained it no luck, Ran a NO spin cycle no luck. Any one have any other ideas?

The instructions say that AI wash may not pick up small loads and LG recommends selecting a cycle. So, pretty sure this is user error.

Hi. I don't use the auto feature. Too wasteful. I use speed wash. After a year of ownership , I will say its a good machine. Washes and dries perfect. But need to keep the washer door open at night to let it dry out or it will start developing a musty smell.

Yea the loads pretty light it senses the drag from the motor to tell how heavy the load is in this case it probably just went into a default time that's programmed into the cpu

I still have the unit. I don't use the auto sense. Waste of time and money. I just do the speed wash. 15 minute wash or I can choose up to 25. Then the dryer will match the drying time. But it has damp sense and will continue to dry until done.

Is the washer supposed to sound very loud because my washer sounds like a very loud engine when it’s spinning sometimes

It spins extremely fast on the high setting. You can always knock it down a bit on the spin cycle to make it quieter
