This worked perfectly! Thanks for making it a simple process. I was able to complete this exactly as shown in less than 30 minutes. Putting the spring ring back on was the most difficult so I had someone help me hold it down as I worked it around and back in place. Thank you again!!!

Thanks for the video. I was able to replace the lock in 10 minutes with $13 part from amazon. I was getting the de error when the washer started and sometimes during the wash.

i just bought a used same model wm2061wc lg washer. guy sold for cheap because the issue was the door hinges as well .. i removed it torch it and loose it up with WD40 plus the door lock switch.

I can't get that wire ring back in for the life of me. Been trying to fit it in as you do for over two hours but keeps popping out

Yes it is. Remove top panel and reach down after removing the 2 screws. Removing and replacing the bellow is such a pain.

So how do you know if it's the door lock exactly? I have a DE error, my hinges look good. There is a small tear on the gasket but it never leaked. There are no obstructions . . How can I be sure I've elimited the culprit before I change out the door sensor?

+Louiza Busula Lg error code SE is a motor fault code. Either your main control board is out or your motor. Samsung error code 5E means you have something stuck in your drain pump or your pump has gone out.

@@zenonthez-132 I put in new door lock assembly twice and still got the DE error code. Then I spoke to someone who repairs Washers and recommended replacing the main board. I did that and a fuse poped immediately after I turned on the Machine and DE code showed up again. I eventually gave up and got a brand new unit with a 5 year extended Warranty from Lowe's.
