This video will help you when your washing machine will not start you may have a fault the dE error code indicates that the washer door was unable to lock. This can normally be resolved by performing a simple reset on the washing machine or you may have a fault with the pin system or hinge but normally this will be a common problem with the door interlock.

I got the same code today. I'm familiar enough with machines to know that it was the door sensor that went on the washer. As you instructed, Using the model# and serial# I located the part and ordered one. I'm going with what I have and that is a flat-head screwdriver. There a special tool that spreads the spring but that is $60.00! The part is only $20, so I'm not paying that much for a job-specific tool I can only use for this job. I fixed my dryer too when the belt went on it. More women should know how to repair their household machines. At least the simple jobs like this. Thank you for the video!!

Before trying to replace the door switch, try this instead. When you get the DE error, either open the door and slam it back hard or slam you hand on the door and give it a hard slap(near the door switch area). It will work after that. Yes, I know it's ridiculous but it works. Been doing that since 2015.

I would definitely not spray any of the electrics with WD-40. You are potentially causing a fire hazard. If it was only the plastic locking part that you sprayed then you should be okay. I would replace the lock. I had this fault today de1 while using the lg thin-Q app trying to put a load on. I turned it off at the mains for 1 minute and it went back to normal after and I done 2 loads since then and it’s fine. Do try that first guys 🙂

Unfortunately it’s leaking out the back of the tub on to the element having no luck this year so far… But it was used and I have had it about 3 years now it’s been making a electrical buzzing noise since before Christmas so I investigated the other day and as soon as I took the back panel off I noticed the element connections are rusting because water is some how coming out from the back of the drum behind the motor can’t see where from? Been told my bearing seal may have gone or something and I can’t afford to get it fixed by lg they want 155 quid just to start with guy in town said it’s basically scrap I am gutted tbh i really liked it. It’s still doing its thing for now but is leaking into the bottom panel slowly. But I liked it that much so I decided to get a brand new one out of very catalog, a LG 2in1 washer dryer combo 10kg/6kg dry FWY706GBTN1 did just want a 8 or 9kg but couldn’t find one only a wash only machine by LG in the lower sizes. It has an impressive 5 years warranty was going to get a hotpoint active care as it was cheeper but the warranty is only a year so I thought nar I will just get a LG again and I don’t want to buy another one for a good few years so got to just get a brand new one it’s been a while and I have had a few 2nd hand ones since 2013 some just to fix and sell some that was my actual machine… but this is like the 5th one in 7 years 2nd hand so just want a brand new one with warranty!! it looks a lot better than my lg FH4U2TDN2S but nevertheless it has been a great machine up until this electrical buzzing started but I am not put off just think I am unlucky and these things happen 😑😕 I am looking forward to the new turbowash 360 system as mine is 6 years old now. Can’t find any videos really on British LG washer/dryers but not sure when this new one come out think it could be 23/24 model not sure 🤷🏻‍♂️

My beko stops at rise , I’ve tried everything possible , I have to manually select rise and then manually select spin to finishing my washing , pump is clear , hoses is clear , checked the brushes , the belt ect I have a feeling it maybe a electrical problem , I’ve seen your other video on the circuit board capacitors. Hello, i have a lg f14wm8ln0 and while starting a washing program the pin in the door broke while the machine was trying to lock. I replaced the pin but now the pin wont go into the lock, its kind of blocked. The broken parts from the pin are all removed.is it possible that the lock is still in a locked state and if so how could i unlock it because this machine has no lever in the bottom like some other washing machines.

F1A8FDA DE error, and cycle wouldn't start. Changed the door interlock following your brilliant video. The machine started fine and completed a cycle (empty) but at the end the door wouldn't open. Tried to start another cycle but this time got error DE. The door still won't open. Any advice please?

I have the same error on my LG washer but mine occurs after a wash cycle has started. Happens frequently, I then open the door and move the cloths around a little and start again. Sometimes I have to do this multiple times to get a load done. Wondering if It is this same thing, never does like your video is showing.

I just took the top and front panels off of my lg washer so I could remove the seal and wash it. I put everything back together and now I keep getting a "de1" error message. When I shut the door and try to run a load it doesn't make the noise like it's trying to lock, I just get the error code immediately. Would this still be my door lock mechanism? If you have fitted a new door interlock and the door is locating correctly you want to make sure the PIN that slides into the door lock is not damaged in any way if all this is good then you may have a problem with the printed circuit board
