Sucks that LG Mobile is gone. Really enjoyed your reviews, as you were one of a few who actually gave LG props for things they did well. They were the first to do wideangle lenses, now standard, no one mentioned that. They put the lock-button on the back, and other reviewers gave them shit for it but ignored it when it became standard everywhere else. They had a Quad-DAC audio jack, providing the best audio experience out of all phone brands, no one gave them props for that. Except for Zach! They didn't play it safe and just copy Samsung/Apple designs and then providing nothing new, they actively tried new stuff with almost every generation and some of their ideas were absolutely brilliant. But often times their ideas were ahead of the times and didn't catch on, until someone else does it 5-6 years later and say "Hey look how revolutionary we are".

Thanks for the assist here! Made the tear down and LCD replacement easy as pie. Removing the LCD from the top panel was quite easy with a little heat, and it adhered back just fine.

The most beautiful thing of this phone is the symmetry, even the motherboard... All the components are very well placed to get the best balance between thickness and strength. Finally something nice from LG. If they build a gamepad that wing mode can fit we'll get a full Nintendo DS experience.

Innovative yea they do spice up the market here and there but their hardware is just so outdated. For 1000 dollar price tag its performance is rather meh. For those that came to this video to fix or replace a broken front screen. You can buy a demo model on ebay for 200 bucks and replace the entire front screen assembly hinge and all. It was easier for me and it gave me the much needed practice on the demo model (as i shattered the back glass on the demo model) in order to take apart and put my phone back together with out damaging it. Great video Jerry, it really saved my but with replacing the front screen on my phone!

Coming back to this video in August 2022, I actually did get mine at the end of July 2022 for the equivalent of $270. It took me about three weeks to arrive since it's a South Korea variant, but... WOW! It's totally worth every penny! It really didn't take long for me to get all familiar with the swivel screen. I also love the gimbal camera for giving me total control for video recording. It may only record at 1080p/30fps, but I'm still more than okay with it.

this is the same unit they would sell. it wouldnt bend but they dont want to take the risk and lose buyers. if he bends the outerscreen opened that would break. but if in phone mode, i doubt anything would break.
