I have one with the drum...can you please tell me if there is a way to open the lid on case there is a power (electricity) shortage and the clothes remain stocked in the machine? Is there a,way yo open the lid when there is no electricity ? Thank for answering

I have to give it to LG and upper line Samsung washers. At least the wash tub is ALL SS unlike my Maytag commercial which is hybrid plastic/SS. Whirlpool really has become a penny pinching company.

Agreed, The only Samsung in LG washers that have plastic for the tubs are the very low end ones, and it's interesting to see how both companies do it differently. I've noticed Samsung will do all metal except for the impeller which is plastic, and then there's LG which has stainless steel walls a plastic bottom but a metal impeller which is a very interesting design choice

@@MaytagMachineManiac For some reason I'm not crazy about the combination of plastic bottom and stainless steel walls. Either make it one or the other.... You know what I mean ? I put back in my Whirlpool commercial a few hours ago. I like the one piece solid porcelain tub

@@patcola7335 I'm in full agreement with you on that, and I saw you went back with the whirlpool. Although both of those machines are phenomenal, there's something to be said about the simplicity of the whirlpool
