I just bought one of these babies! I had a Whirlpool front loader for many years, but eventually the gasket failed, the seal leaked, and the mildew started to take over. So I bought a Maytag top load HE. I can’t tell you how irrationally I hate that machine. It’s a lint machine that goes out of balance if you sneeze. No lint filter, of course. I’m giving it to my daughter, since she’s not as picky! I’ve heard a lot of good things about the LG models, especially the spin speed (the Maytag barely extracted any water), the delicate cycle (the Maytag chewed up my clothes), and the lint filter. Fingers crossed 🤞

The new LG washing machine, like this one which is made in Vietnam is my country I'm from. Yes, it looks better but the water use could not be always enough to see, unless you hacked water level. Despite that what I see this looks so beasty! 😍🥰 In Vietnam they don't sell the massive LG front load washing machines, but the Twinwash model is, the highend models and the main one which is 21/12 kg washer dryer, not the Twinwash mini ones which can be called as the Sidekick models in USA. This is what I have just seen, this one which is made in Vietnam is not available here, just only made to export to USA only where most machines are massive as the 'standard' size. I wish this one could be also sold in Vietnam as actual

That’s all the cycles you need any more is just fluff and unnecessary. More cycles is to impress customers into believing they’re getting more but they are such little variations. I’ve tested many machines with many different cycles and there’s hardly any difference between them. Now what you do get in a higher level Washer is a recirculation pump which does make a difference and is a definite plus.

@Isaac Joby John We would also like to have that feature and in fact do in all dishwashers. However since we have 110v it would cost twice as much to heat our water in our washers to do laundry unless adding an additional high amperage circuit but sometimes that could require replacing the entire service box which could cost thousands. Since both my washers and dishwasher are on the same line as a sink I start a hot water valve on a sink first until it becomes hot, turn it off and then start the machine so that all of the water that goes into the machine from the start of the cycle is at full temperature. In the case of my dishwasher I’ve noticed that it results in much shorter cycle lengths and no diminished results. That is because we use the hot water line as the tap for the dishwasher and the internal heater insures that the water rises to 150*F in a sani cycle and 140 normally. My own heaters are set to 150 and are solar heated so the internal heater in the dishwasher never activates hence the time savings.
@Ikey04-ge9gy Жыл бұрын
I guess so but one thing that’s necessary in a front loader that’s only available on upper models is a heater. Well I mean it’s not necessary to get clean clothes but it’s a very very useful thing to have.

Does anyone else find this machine doesn’t use much water. The clothes are not getting clean. It driving me crazy.
@remycallie Жыл бұрын
It does a great job without a lot of water. You may be using too much detergent (most people do with front loaders) or not selecting the appropriate cycles for the wash. Just dumping in more water isn't going to help. Front loaders work the same way that hand washing an item in a sink does -- you don't stir the item around in the sink like a top loading agitator, you continually lift it up and down, in and out of the water. You don't need a whole ton of water to do that.
@CalmBeforeTheStorm7611 ай бұрын
@@remycallieThis is absolutely incorrect. The low water level of this unit makes it awful. I am quite sure LG was "asked nicely" by some international body to use less water in their cycles to make them more environmentally friendly. For Godssake you can add not just 1, not 2, but *3* extra rinse cycles on this stupid machine. What took my old crappy Frigidaire machine half the time, got my clothes smelling clean... and by clean, I mean; they didn't smell like detergent, and the armpits didn't smell like BO right out of the wash like they do with my LG. This hunk of junk gets sold cheap to people who don't know the rub is that it doesn't use as much water as a more expensive model that people who have more money can afford. It's the same as anything else these days. Part of the "good deal" means you get a super efficient hunk of junk that doesn't do the one thing it's supposed to do--- get your clothes clean. Had I known this thing would be a polished turd I would've repaired my old machine. It wasn't perfect but it had a high water level setting that did a fantastic job *getting my clothes clean*. This isn't rocket science. It's soap, water, and agitation. Some moron at LG thought their stupid jingle would fool people into ignoring their eyes, nose, and common sense. It is so insulting to customers that the cycles take forever to complete... You and I know damn well some over paid exec thought, "We'll just agitate longer, and we can use half as much water and detergent, and still get the clothes as clean!" Actually, what this does is make a more concentrated amount of dirty water, which means your clothes are "bathed" in dirty water instead of "washed". When you take a bath, do you get just as clean if you put 3 inches of water in the tub, using your standard amount of shampoo, conditioner, etc?? Of course not. You'd have a concentrated mess at the bottom and that would be coating your body unless you then took a shower to rinse yourself off... OR, you could take a shower, and actually get clean. The bottom line is that this washer is a fraudulent lie. It insults customers to have LG paid bots come on forums like this and defend their crappy product to gaslight people into believing it's all in their head. LG has lost any future business from me, and I am telling everyone who asks to get something else, and to confirm they have a high water level wash option. Seriously, I reduce, reuse, and recycle plenty. But, it's humiliating to be a clean person, and to smell your own BO because your washer doesn't actually wash your clothes.
@remycallie11 ай бұрын
@@CalmBeforeTheStorm76 I have no idea where you're getting your information from. More expensive models do not use more water! (Like the poor people are getting cheated of water. :) More expensive models do tricks, like have a "steam" cycle. ) This is exactly how front loading washers work. My husband is European and this is pretty much all they have throughout Europe and this is how they work. I've had this model for six months now and it is working absolutely beautifully. With respect, a poor workman blames his tools. Learn how to use this.
@davenwin19734 ай бұрын
If the default water level is like my LG WM2250CW model from 2012, it does not use enough water. I had clothes that stayed dry, because clothes weren't tumbling around, and I did not overfill my machine either. This machine fills exclusively by sending the water to the shell, and fill through a rising effect. My Frigidaire front loader from 1999 sprayed the water directly into the tub, onto the clothes, and would saturate the clothes as it fills. The basic LG instead requires the clothes to absorb the water from the bottom of the tub, and must continuously tumble, hoping it saturates all the clothes. If the water level is set too low, then clothes won't be fully saturated. I literally had to have the water level adjusted, just so it would use more water. If it filled with water like my first front loader washer, maybe it would have done a better job. LG models with the Turbo Wash, has a recirculation pump, that still sends the water to the shell, but once it reaches a certain level, it recirculates the wash water, and sprays the clothes continuously, instead of just long enough to saturate the clothes. All other models from different washer makers, use a combination of filling directly into the tub, and spray with a recirculation pump, until the clothes get saturated with water, before relying on just the tumbling action of the drum to get clothes clean.

@@Bunkysworkshop Yep I agree. These new washers many use load sensing so if there is no load there is far less water. Note: I found a hack on LG washers which there is actually a control unit for water levels which one can increase under the hood. However it most likely would void any warranty. But the person on KZbin who did the hack did increase the overall water in the LG front loader to his liking.
