I’m currently planning my wedding in 2022 and it’s heartening to know that I am not alone in these experiences. I did a lot of research and we didn’t have any issues with our venue, I am struggling to find an officiant. I found a really lovely company that has experience with same sex weddings. I’m waiting for confirmation of my date and very hopeful. I was pretty flabbergasted at some of the phone conversations I’ve had with djs, photographers, and getting custom items ordered. One officiant sucked his teeth and told me that wasn’t really his thing. I didn’t call a church to ask for an officiant, I called a publicly listed wedding officiant company. People are wild.

I'm actually opening a LGBTQ Wedding Venue. I have 20 acres surrounded by national park and host whimsical yurts on a farmstay on the Olympic Penisula. And we will be only hosting LGBTQ - as weddings book frantically in the area and we want to give priority booking to the community.

This is so truly amazing! My fiance and I are a lesbian couple of color in Dallas Texas. She is half Latina and I'm half asian and we are having some of the hardest times trying to find out if wedding venues in caterers and other people that are necessary for our wedding experience that are LGBTQ friendly. Finding this video brings me hope and helps me feel a little less disheartened. Thank you

This is my first comment on anything KZbin. My partner and I are both a “little” older and grew up in traditional households. We live in Ohio. I spent most of my young adulthood not expecting a legal wedding so now I feel a bit overwhelmed on where to start on the whole wedding planning process. The recent wedding I attended as part of the grooms party was beautiful but the groom bashfully informed me that the venue won’t host lbgtq weddings. Ugh. I SO VERY MUCH love your video and will be watching the rest. Really appreciate your research!

I just shot a LGBTQ wedding for two girls (I’m old) and have known the family for years. I was shocked that vendors in town turned then away for catering etc. Jeez what era are we living in?
