Then why do they keep announcing it all over media? Why do we have to keep hearing about it? There's a reason why it may be a surprise that a lot of older or now deceased actors were gay; it's because they kept their private lives private. These days, all people do is post their entire danged lives all over the place.

I remember Richard Chamberlain in The Thorne Birds and I totally could understand Meghan’s love for Father Ralph. I didn’t think there could be anyone sexier. Well that was until Bryan Brown burst onto the screen as Luke. It was said that Richard and Rachel (who played Meghan, can’t remember her last name) had a bit of something brewing on set. I think Richard was bi because this apparently had happened with other co-stars of his. Anyway their romance was heating up and that’s when Bryan Brown appeared to begin filming his role. Like 2 comets colliding, Bryan and Rachel exploded. They fell passionately in love and I heard that Richard was a bit hurt but recognized that theirs was the kind of love you can’t fight. Bryan and Rachel went on to marry and may be together today, I don’t know. I only know that when I saw Bryan Brown I could never again see Richard Chamberlain as a sex symbol. Those Australians!

Interestingly enough...very few if any of these actors (assuming they all actually followed that lifestyle) probably never even heard (let alone used) the term 'LGBTQ'. There is a consistent tendency to reverse-project such terminology onto the past, in an attempt to give it dimension that it simply does not have. It's purely politically motivated. People in the past did not use the present-day lexicon -- just as people in the present-day do not use the future's lexicon (when people may also reverse-project it onto us). It is, in fact, an attempt to rewrite actual history.

Actually found this video kind of underwhelming. Never heard of many of them or even the names of the movies they were in, aside from a few of them. Curious to how the knowledge that someone is gay, if they really were, is supposed to somehow in itself add to their overall persona. You can be gay and brilliant and noteworthy, or gay and run-of-the-mill boring.
