@@mariaagustinaferrero2333 They're a lot more realistic and honestly? I hate Sims 3 pets. They annoy the crap out of me and I end up giving them up within a week. But TS3's pet town was a loooot better than TS4's. Also wish both games had it like TS2 when you could see their needs but couldn't control them. A pets expansion pack with TS4's traits/pet mechanic, TS2's pet jobs/control, and a town similar to TS3's with horses would honestly be amazing and worth every penny.

I have only played Sims 4. I just watched this, and the Supernatural review. I must say, just watching these two, I now understand why people complain about Sims 4. I can't believe all the stuff they jammed into these packs!

I highly recommend trying the Sims 3! It’s available in the Origin. The expansion packs I would recommend besides the base game are these: Seasons, Generations and Late Night (for a change in scenery)! Pets I like but I don’t play with every single time. The horse gameplay is awesome though! I’m also very keen on Ambitions because the suburban city is one of my favourite maps and the firefighter gameplay is awesome. But it wouldn’t be my first recommendation for most people. Island Living is INCREDIBLE but it requires a decently powerful computer. Do give Sims 3 a go. Even with worse graphics, the gameplay is super immersive and more challenging. I can spend 8h playing compared to 1h max on Sims 4!

I’ve been watching his Sims 4 reviews again and Clint has been a fan of plenty of its expansions. Dine Out, Vampires, Parenthood, Discover University, Realm of Magic, Get to Work and Seasons have all been pretty much glowing reviews. Even the earlier Stuff Packs charmed him until they became a little excessive in later years. I’m seeing major nostalgia goggles when it comes to The Sims 3.

@@Dayvis2niverse I wouldn't call it nostalgia goggles, some games of yesteryear are simply just that good and new iterations don't quite stack up in comparison. The Sims 3 isn't without it's faults and there are numerous positives to The Sims 4, but when it comes to content and overall quality of life in terms of pack differences between the two games, you get significantly more bang for your buck with TS3 than you do with TS4. I can still go back and play games from the late 90s & early 00s that were just simply fantastic for the time. Games like Morrowind, Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Fallout 1 & 2, Diablo 2, Sims 2, Starcraft, Fable, KOTOR etc. Sims 3 still holds up incredibly well now and in fact I'd argue, it's open world was ahead of it's time. I don't hate TS4, but it gets tiring dealing with the consistent, low quality put-outs by modern-Maxis, where bugs run rampant, features don't work correctly, they're all released at over £35 and offer little in the way of personality / are easy to exhaust in a short time frame til the next pack comes out.

I've only ever had The Sims 1, Sims 2 and 4 so I skipped 3 altogether. But I've been watching these videos to convince me to pick it up. I used to think it would've been a set back because of the graphics and how they hold up in comparison to Sims 4, but the gameplay is very reminicent to the older games! There is a create a world that you can download from the sims site, if it's still there. I think it doesn't work on a mac though. You use it to create your own town from scratch and put whatever buildings and houses you want and build your own roads and stuff.

and lets not forget taht the quality of then animations interactions are all superior in 4, they do more stuff, and th fact u can't control then forced the devs to code good ai for then = the sims 4 perts can run naway from you home, just like the sims 2, they do much more stuff alone, in the sims 3 since iplayed i never had a dog run away from my mouse never had to rescue then or anything they did not even visit the neighborhoods or left the lot without me manually controlling it, they basically just care for the needs, the sims 4 pets ai are much superior

See my review on the Live Gamer HD card for a more detailed analysis of what it's good for. But basically, software recording strains the CPU for cycles, which means you'll sometimes get a noticeably lower frame rate/stuttering in the recording. Many pro reviewers use an external PC to capture so they don't have this problem. However, if you install a capture card, it acts as a pass-through on the same PC and takes the strain off of your CPU, so you can still just use one PC to record smoothly.

It looks freaking fantastic and exactly what I was hoping for in a season-oriented expansion. What am I most looking forward to? Heh, it sounds silly but the diving boards and being able to use floats in and swim in the ocean. Yes, finally, freaking diving boards! I always wondered why sims couldn't swim in bodies of water. And snow, man. SNOW. It's the first expansion I'm genuinely excited for and it's going to be awesome, if the trailer and other released info is anything to go by.

In total? Like, as a series? Yes, definitely. I've played Sim games since SimCity from 1989 and still look forward to the newest Sim-related games every time a new one is announced. But that doesn't mean I don't have complaints when I find faults in them.

Pets is probably my favourite expansion. No only because of the cats, (I love cats), but it introduced my second favourite town. I've likely clocked up more hours in Appaloosa than I have in Sunset Valley, and that's saying something. Hmm, helps that much of my Sims learning experience was there in the first place.

i enjoy creating my own breeds and breeding them. i sometimes breed a blue merle and a brown/red merle. or maybe a grey siberian husky with a black one! or sometimes i even crossbreed my dogs, like maybe a golden retriever and an alaskan malamute. my creations are endless!!!

I know this came out like 9 years ago, but I remember appreciating how similar the console edition was to the PC version was for the pets version. Horses weren’t there unfortunately, but for the most part every feature was still there. And it added plenty of things to that version from ambitions to make up for the things that were missing.
