7:05 I live in Santa Ana, and am currently doing some personal research on the SAAAB, and would be happy to do a little research for you guys on this, and stop by the Santa Ana Public Library. There is also a museum in Costa Mesa, called “Hero’s Hall”, on the Orange County Fairgrounds, which is on the premises of what used to be part of the SAAAB, and dedicates the second floor of the museum (which used to be one of the barracks that cadets would sleep in), to the Air Base and it’s history. If you haven’t reached out to them, they may have more information on Bruce’s time there, and would also likely benefit from Bruce’s letters home.
