Just wanted to let you know that you didn't have to file it down, you can usually pry that top metal plate off with a screw driver sometimes you have to put the screw driver flat head tip up against the metal and hit it with a hammer, I make practice locks with all sorts of type of locks and have not had to file it. I see a lot of people do file it but just wanted to let you know. I just did the same thing with my mul t lock also actually my original and my interactive!! I haven't fixed them yet I was trying to find something to slide back on top but looks like I'm going to have to tap it. What would be the equivalent of 5mm for sae? I normally use 6-32 but that will be too small.. any thoughts ?

+Derek McClemens Thanks! I gave the prying a whirl prior to filing, but couldn't get it. Check this link out: www.lincolnmachine.com/tap_drill_chart.html It lists all sae and metric in size order. Anything around 5mm should be good but I wouldn't go much bigger. The treading overlaps each other. 10-32 looks like it will work fine. It's a .01" smaller in diameter than the 5mm tap. Good luck!
