Great video! Really helps to see whats going on inside so you can relate it to what you hear and feel. Ive managed to pick a couple 1100 series but mostly just got lucky. Can do it once then struggle for hours lol. This helps a lot. Im a subscriber now!

Thank you for doing this video. I really liked that you used a cut away to explain everything, most people don't let the camera see the cutaway. Which I really need because I'm a novice.

MrThall7 No problem! I was in the same boat as you not too long ago and searched for these videos that explained these concepts. The ones that helped the most are the ones that showed me what was going on. I'm not trying to replace any of them out there, just adding my 2 cents to the collective pool of shared knowledge about this sport. Thanks and happy pickin'!

Nice cut away and explanation of when the pins are at shear line. 👏 I am trying to improve my SPP ability. I can get every lock I own open, but I tend to rake and rock most of the time. I have opened locks with SPP, but I think it was due to persistence more than anything else. I tend to go in and randomly push up on pins until I get movement on the core. Sometimes it opens right away. Good information about the ACE padlock. I have a store here in town and I will buy one today. I need another new lock to play with. I had the ACE version of an American Lock, but I kind of messed up the keyway when I had to drill out a broken key.

Thanks for the excellent explanation. I see LPL pick security pins all the time but don't really know what he's feeling for.

nice demonstration my friend. I did notice thou that you put the key pins on the pinning tray backwards. But I'm sure you figured that out.

Bobby Keyz hahaha! I did. This is what happens when you film before 8am. I put it back together and was super confused when the 1st and 5th key pins were swapped. Turns out 2, 3 and 4 is a key pin palindrome. Cheers!

I'm having a hard time putting back the plug because of the gap you mentioned before sliding out plug with follower. Any tricks or suggestions to that
