Great video. Could ask your advice ? I have a standard 1962 li150 3. It has an 18mm dellorto and an original ken cobbing exhaust with standard pipe going in. It starts lovely and goes through the gears 1 to 3 great quite fast. Put it in 4th and it dies on its arse. What jets would you use to help it ?

Is it the original bore and piston ? I would look at the wear on rings and bore ......

Te comento, soy de Argentina, acá la Lambretta se comercializó con la marca Siambretta (fusión entre la Siam Argentina y Lambretta). Aprendí a andar en una Siambretta 175 TV serie 2 1963, hasta la fecha la tengo pero debo reacondicionarla. La pregunta es sobre el carburador, resulta que las primeras series tenias Dellorto MB23BS5 (23mm) y luego bajaron a Dellorto MB21BS7 (21mm). MI TV tiene el MB21BS7 muy gastado ya y un cilindro 175 estándar (supongo que para ahorro de combustible bajaron de 23mm a 21mm). Hoy día consigo en el mercado carburador nuevos de Suzuki Ax 100 (21mm) , Keihin Pwk 24mm y 26mm Cortina Plana, Carburador Dellorto Phbl 24- 25mm (muy caros). También se consiguen carburadores replicas de los dellorto como los Spaco 19 mm y Jetex 22 mm (bastante caros), también hay cortinas con diferentes calibres para mi viejo carburador Dellorto MB21BS7 que por cierto, cuando andaba se ahogaba bastante y no tenia buena reacción el motor. ¿Cuál seria la mejor opción para tener el equilibrio entre un buen andar y ahorro de combustibles?. Estoy considerando Suzuki Ax 100 (21mm) , Keihin Pwk 24mm Cortina Plana (el keihin no será muy grande). Gracias!!!!.

Hola amigo ; yo creo ke la pwk plana cortina es mejor . Pero su motor tienes ke se mui bien condition , motor ke son mui gastada no va bien . Tambien el escape nesesito bien condition .... in embraso amigigo 👍

Have the same setup on my very early S2, with the exception of a Casa S2 clubman. I had a 122 main, everything else as a GP200 22mm carb setup. I run a late S1 big mouth airbox, BGM free flow filter. It's an Indian alloy 175. It ran ok, but I noticed a bit of a lull in the midrange. Stock points, timing done right. I watched this and thought...ok, maybe a smaller main? I tried a 118. IT BOGS TERRIBLY, will not rev to pull away! I imagine it's too small?? I'll try a 125 today. Any words of wisdom on the matter highly appreciated!

This has stock filter and air box , you will need a bigger jet , the 122 is about right try a different atomizer with more holes or modified the cut away on the slide . Altitude and air temp will also determine your jets sizes

Good Morning Steve, I'm a big fan of your channel (Brilliant), I am trying to rebuild an SX150. Tank problems can you give advice or do a video on tank cleaning please. This has been a problem since i had the bike! I had the bike with a beepspeed stainless tank but it seems smaller capacity thus sits lower thus the fuel cock is closer to the engine swinging arm! I have tried to clean the original tank with white vinegar and nuts and bolts shake and rotate every day it seemed to cure it but no back to the flow restriction can you help?

Hi Dave , the product I use here is not available in UK . So I'll look for something you can use there in uk . Best bet is brick cleaner or drain cleaner with an acid . Normally it's all tame stuff in UK I use aguero fuerte which is hydrochloric acid strong as fuck eats everything inside the tank then wash out with water . Once dry a coat of 2t oil and its done

im trying to find out why one of the lighting coils is missing , this might Be a job for Spanish anorak ? THERES SOME ODD STUFF ON SPANISH SCOOTS 🙄 The top plate is not bent so it looks like it never had a coil on it .

Hi Steve great video,I have the same carb,50 choke jet,110 main and 45 pilot,its bogging down before revs lift and it won't tick over,if I give it a little bit of choke it's gone and ticks over,can't seem to richen it enough on adjustment,seems to be scince it's colder,rides perfect apart from that any advice would be appreciated 😀

Change slide to one with a larger cut away

even more important check float valve seals correctly , this will make it bog down . putting choke adds fuel and air and raises tick over so i think you are over fueling at bottom end
