I didnt fully understand the correct process to fly 2 people in the Residence (google translate is poor). Do you have to register the 2nd person prior or at check-in so that they can sit with you for the duration of the flight? Or do you have to do a paid upgrade also for the 2nd? I have a similar setup as you in few months where 1 booking was upgraded to Residence and the other is in F.

if you buy 2 tickets together and they're on the same ticket(PNR) then you can directly upgrade together. If you buy the 2 tickets separately and they're on different PNR you need to contact customer service to handle this special situation as you will only be able to upgrade on ticket. Either way you will only need to pay for one upgrade fee, and won't be double charged. In your case, I suggest that you contact customer service and let them make adjustments on their side before the flight. Or else you risk what happened to us: not allowed to sit together in the residence
