They were warning signs of why Bruno Fernandes isn't that good. Udinese and Sampdoria were quick to sell him, Sporting did win cups with Bruno but no where close of winning the league and they won the league after they sold him and could win another one, no big clubs bar us wanted him despite his increased output in goals and assists, he isn't a midfielder, he looses the ball way too often especially in dangerous places, can't dribble, isn't press resistant, average technical ability, dreadful at set pieces(only scored 2 free kick goals since joining Manchester United), the worst player to keep the ball and he's absolute trash when he has a bad game. Yet the top reds still claims Bruno Fernandes is still key to challenge for the Premier League title and Champions League title. I never seen a player in Manchester United that is overrated by our own fans than Bruno Fernandes. He had one year in 2020 and since January 2021 he's been shit and that Watford game where we got smashed I was done with him and since that game his numbers declined and he's is consistently shit for 3 years. We've been shitting on Pogba, Di Maria, Schweinstriger, James, Jones, Smalling, Mata and Romero despite their inconsistency and yet it's blasphemy to dare call out Bruno Fernandes for is constant trash performance. Fred made a lot of mistakes but he also had the knack of showing up in big games. Worked well till Case was on form though. I agree that post red card Case lost momentum. I'll raise my hand and admit I rated Bruno in his first two seasons. And Rants was calling him out since day one ! Truth is Bruno has never been good. many of us got gasslit by his statpadding, and the fact we were on a purple patch when he did accumulate those stats. After his second season with us I too got convinced Bruno is a total liability for our squad. Some of the best games we have ever played lately were the ones bruno and Rashford were not playing. This is factual and anyone can fact check it. And just to talk a bit of football. Brunos role requires him to be able to hold onto the ball and dictate the rythm as well. He plays were Zidane used to play and where Modric played as well. Bit of a free role with attacking license in the mid. Only Bruno cant do the most simple of things, he cant hold onto the ball !! I dont care for his one out of 3 good passes. For every goal we score due to Bruno passing well we concede 3 because Bruno lost us the ball up high. Check it out and try to see who loses the ball the most in the counters we conceded.
