he always seemed more comfortable singing acoustic. he pushes a lot harder in regular gigs. there's a video of him singing whatever and live forever from 1995 or 1996 and it seems so easy for him. sounds a bit different than when he's really going for it, but still amazing.

I think thats part of why his voice went bad for a bit. He had to compete with the volume of the guitars, so he shouted to be heard. Thankfully, his voice is back.
