It's hard to think of a more exciting player to have donned the red and blue in recent years than Liam Jurrah.
Bursting onto the scene on a Friday night against the Bombers midway through the 2009 AFL Season, Jurrah instantly became a fan and commentator favourite with his high-flying leap and freakish goal sense.
Although he missed the first half of the 2010 AFL Season due to injury, Jurrah picked up right where he left off in 2009 when he returned, claiming 21 goals in eight games and the 2010 Mark of the Year for his screamer against Port Adelaide in Round 21.
Jurrah's first and only full AFL season came in 2011 when he played 18 games and kicked 40 goals, regularly displaying the ability that made him an overnight success back in 2009.
Unfortunately, a combination of legal issues and injury led to Jurrah's departure from the Demons at the end of the 2012 AFL Season.
