Same!! I always liked 1D songs and all of their solo careers but I was never a die hard fan. I don't think I've ever been this sad about a celebrity death. I think a lot of it has to do with how it happened and how broken and sad he was prior. So young, charming, and talented

I never knew much of their music due to my age & thinking I was “beyond” “boy bands”, but I regret that now. I actually just began listening to them some as I finally decided to look into 5 Seconds of Summer recently bc the last several singles they had out are some of my fav songs, and through them I was led backwards to 1D. I have listened to most of their solo music however. He was so sweet, kind, & loving. I cannot understand why ppl were so mean to him. even if he did some bad things, most people are mourning the figurehead of a major part of their childhood and adolescence. the possibility of a one direction reunion has now been thwarted but most of all it was a tragic, sudden, untimely, and unfair passing, PREDOMINANTLY to all those who were close to him. we knew him as liam payne, those closest to him knew him as just liam. a brother, son, friend, father, and companion. it’s very tragic to those who knew him, and despite any opinions you may have about his character, given the nature of his death it’s important to stay respectful.

But it is 100% that he had problem alcohol or drug addiction. 😢 He is still a humain he died young while being so hated. He didn't explain his side of his story.
